is it normal for a baby beardie to have some days where he only wants to be on us, and then others not want to be touched at all? We've had him for almost 2 weeks and he has his good and bad days when it comes to wanting to be handled. He also spends a LOT of time on his basking log, we didn't...

What to do what to do

multiple times a day, about 3. I've tried feeding him ones that are no bigger than the space between his eyes, but He won't touch them. He is used to being fed mediums so he eats mediums. I feed him as many as he will eat in about 10 minutes each feeding. He definately eat's enough. I guess it's...

What to do what to do

What do you guy's do with any dead crickets? Baby beardie eats about 5-10 crickets (editing to per feeding my bad lol) so we buy 3 or 4 days worth but a few die here or there. Im wondering if people throw them out or feed them to the beaded dragons just putting them in a bowl for them

    Bearded Dragon not eating enough?

Just read the update, I wouldn't get a ceramic heater for him being so young. Petco sells an under tank heater that legit sticks to the underside of the tank, Arvak has a log on his warm side of the tank and he loves it. it warms just right for him and he can also hide under it if he wants...

    Bearded Dragon not eating enough?

my little beardie Arvak is about the same age as yours. Our little guys wont really be focusing on greens and veggies with now, they need protein to help then grow. Your beardie might not even touch those pellets, they aren't exactly the best for them, and they even say on the bottle NOT to...

New bearded baby feeding help (huge newbie)

unfortunately not something we can get rid of, and the light" doesn't give off any light, its more for heat. We live in vermont and even with out heat set to 70, we've had close to below zero temperatures so the house sits around 62 degrees at night. we don't feel comfortable taking it away due...

New bearded baby feeding help (huge newbie)

ok so found a possible reason to him not really wanting to eat: This morning i noticed he appears to be shedding his skin. I've read that this drastically reduces activity and food intake, is that right?

New bearded baby feeding help (huge newbie)

Both of his day time lights are hybrid UVB lights. We are still getting a feel for him, he's pretty new to the house, less than a week. When i put my hand under his front legs, his just kind of lets me pick him up then grips my hand with all four. I put him on my chest and he LOVES to cuddle...

New bearded baby feeding help (huge newbie)

thank you so much for the help! We have seen a HUGE range, and i mean HUGE recomendations for temperatures. His basking side always seems to run super hot at around 110 f, the mid tank with his under tank pad sits at around 90, with the cool/water side staying at a solid 79. are these good...

New bearded baby feeding help (huge newbie)

Hello all! We recently adopted a baby boy bearded dragon, who we named Arvak. He is about 2-3 months of age and has had a strange eating pattern since we got him. He ate crickets the first night, but the second and third days would not touch them. He still has yet to even want to eat them again...
