Grey instead of Black beard (not shedding)

Thanks guy! My worry was that his beard is grey instead of black, because all of my friends' beardies have their beards go entirely black. So if his beard is grey it means he's not fully mad?

Grey instead of Black beard (not shedding)

So after comparing some "angry" pictures with a few friends, I noticed Odins beard is very grey compared to their dragons. It's always been this way and he has shed a few times, so it's definitely not shedding. He's kept under a Reptisun 10.0 with a 105F basking spot and a good gradient on his...

    Roaches for Floridians

Yep the real pain is how expensive the legal ones are lol. Up north was easy, people sold roaches on Craigslist constantly. I live in the Tampa bay area and have yet to see a feeder bug on there... @.@

    Roaches for Floridians

I just really want something comparable to Dubias nutrition wise that won't escape into my house by climbing or flying. I think orange heads might be the best bet. Regardless of potential smell. Going to have to see if they're illegal here. Edit: nevermind .... illegal :(

    Dubia Overpopulation Risk?

You can feed your adults to your Beardie to slow production, or sell the extras on Craigslist, eBay, etc. The cheaper you go the more likely you are to sell them. :)

    Roaches for Floridians

Yep he gets greens daily and I buy about 60 crickets a week due to the horrible die off I have. He's not a huge bug eater but I do try and keep him eating them so he doesn't lose too much weight. I can't do horn worms I'd feel so guilty since they're so big xD I bought some silk worms from my...

    Roaches for Floridians

So I've moved to Florida, and down here Dubia's are illegal :(. I had to sell off my entire colony that was a year old and producing well for me. To note, I'm trying to feed an adult Beardie who is maybe 4 years old. He's a rescue and is 15 to 16 inches in length. I'm having a hard time...

    Odin!

Odin looks super handsome today with all his shedding :) He got all of his legs mostly shed, his head fully shed, his neck and stomach are shedding as well as the remainder of his face/lips. He STILL hasn't pooped since his vet visit :(

    Odin!

The vet said he doesn't have a calcium issue, but they are closed for the holiday so we can't get a fecal exam until tuesday. Also on his lips was stuck on sand that came off in the bath :) The baths have been helping him shed and today we are celebrating his legs shedding off :D

    What kind is my baby?

I think it would be easier if you had a picture

    Odin!

Odin was looking fabulous during our vet trip, here's some pics! The pink harness was temporarily made by me, we bought a kitten harness and it was too big  but we got a ferret one that day that fits him great

Phoenix Worm DISASTER (advice for new owners)

Okay, so I followed the little guide here about Phoenix Worms to get them nice, fat, and juicy. That being said, I have a few warnings for those planning on keeping them because I was completely caught off guard. (Do note the guide is great and 100% accurate as far as growing them goes!) First...

    Biolight? Help please

Yeah we did already buy a UVB for him, I just wanted to confirm my thoughts that this Biolight isn't actually helping him at all. Would it be responsible for some sort of calcium deficiency for him? His toes are curled and I read that is related to calcium deficiency

    Biolight? Help please

Hi everyone! I introduced our bearded named Odin that we adopted from a couple that adopted him 2 years ago. Along with his enclosure and basking light, they gave us something called a Biolight. A Biolight is a light system used for treatment of S.A.D. and is geared towards humans. It is...

    Amelia :)

Amelia's water dish is around that size compared to her body, hehe :) We don't keep it too full though since I wouldn't want her to fall in on accident. And yes right near her little spikes on her sides she has orange stripes and a bit on her face, plus a bit of orange on her legs.
