    Plexiglass slider doors

I had to go to a local glass store to get the plexiglass doors cut to the right size. Lowes would cut the plexiglass in store, but didn't have a big enough piece. Menards had a big enough piece but had no way to cut it to size.

    New DIY Crossfire build

Forgot to post pics with Cortez in his new home. We are still working on a new basking platform, but here are a few pics of his first time in his new mansion.

    Dubias

Our BD is around 12 inches (head to tail) and 120g at 5-6 months (guesstimating). On avearge, he eats 10-12 3/4" dubia 2x daily. Sometimes he'll eat a little more, sometimes a little less. We started a breeder colony back in April and it is getting close to being self sufficient. Up to this...

    New DIY Crossfire build

Been a few weeks, but finally got around to putting the "rock" walls in today. Learned the hard way that we shouldn't have completely put the enclosure all the way together until we had put in the walls. Ended up having to cut the back wall in half to get it into the enclosure. Now I have to...

    Help heating dubias

I started a colony within the last month in a 20 gallon plastic tote. To heat the tank I use the "Roach Enclosure Heater" from this website: http://www.southtexasdragons.com/insect-enclosures--supplies.html It is a 12"x12" section of THG heat tape with soldered and insulated connections...

    Breeding Dubias

Within the last month, we also just started a dubia breeder colony. We are only feeding one 3-4 month dragon and plan to not feed off any of our breeder colony for a minimum of 2 months, possibly 3 depending on how it does. I have bought from the link below twice now and have been pleased with...

    Introducing....... Cortez

Since we started him on Dubias about two weeks ago, Cortez seems to be gaining size in both length and width by the day. My son loves feeding him because as soon as the roach hits the ground, Cortez gobbles it up (versus chasing crickets around for minutes on end). Many times my son won't even...

    New DIY Crossfire build

We got a few more things done with the new Crossfire enclosure this weekend. Tile cut and put into place, track installed and framing for the front of enclosure put on. Only thing left to order is the plexiglass doors. We also got the styrofoam walls for the enclosure put together. First...

    New DIY Crossfire build

That is just a pic of what we are going to try and build for the walls. I just grabbed it online as an example, so I have no idea what the color is....... :)

    New DIY Crossfire build

We are in the process of building a new home for our bearded dragon named Cortez. Decided to build one of the crossfire enclosures using oak as the material instead of melamine. We let our 10 year old son pick out the tile to use for the bottom of the enclosure and then got to work this...
