    Repticarpet as substrate ?

I used it for a while. Better than sand as a baby/juvi, just a bit of a pain to clean. I went to slate tile and I much prefer it. Can buy it cheap at home depot/lowes and some places will cut to size.

    Advice?

Also, do you think the UVB light could be too close to the basking spot? The little guy seems to be closing one eye fairly frequently. It's about 10" away, though.

    Advice?

Thanks for responding! It's a Reptisun. And no, it does not have a reflector. I was using 3m hooks that seemed to tilt the bulb upward, so I decided to just use adhesive velcro. It's facing level now instead of upward. I just bought a Walmart under-the-counter fixture to use and removed...

    Advice?

Hey! So I believe I'm done tweaking with my cage for now. Curious to see if any of you have any advice/things you'd have done differently in terms of bulb placement and such. Critique away! It's pretty basic. https://postimg.org/image/e2l3oe4s1/ https://postimg.org/image/a6rq7q5j5/ UVB is a...

    Feeding Dubia Roaches

He's about 10-11 inches and yeah I'm putting size appropriate dubias in the bowl (space between the eyes). He goes to grab one on occasion but I guess them laying flat isn't as easy as a cricket to grab out of the bowl. I'll just keep with dusted crickets for now and let the colony grow like...

    Feeding Dubia Roaches

Hey all! I recently purchased some dubia roaches for my baby/juvi dragon and he seems to have become uninterested. He started out curious but when he went to grab them he couldn't seem to do so like he could a fat cricket. Should I forgo feeding him crickets and have him work for the dubia...

    Puff!

I can but that works also, haha. Any cheap ways of lifting it that you know of? Also, is it normal for a beardie to hold its mouth open under a basking light? I'd figure he'd move if he was getting too hot. Just stays under that light constantly.

    Puff!

Copy that! I'll try to refrain from holding him, haha. And yeah I decided to heat my room to 75 instead of using the CHE so it doesn't get too hot in his tank at night.

    Puff!

Went with a fairly obvious name, but it suits. Anyway, I'd just like any recommendations on my setup! It's just a start, obviously going to have to get bigger but let me know any advice for now! I'd appreciate it: 20 gallon long tank (for now) Got a 100W Repti Basking Spot Lamp, a 100W...
