    ID the morph??

Guess we will hope for a color explosion!! My red leatherback has been somewhat disappointing, color wise, as he aged. He was fairly bright as a youngster and dulled out over time. Maybe I will get the opposite with Rocco.

    ID the morph??

I know that it's a made up term-- but that's what he was sold as. Usually it's because it's not a standard, which is why I asked what people thought. Either way I'm very happy with him.

    ID the morph??

I got him on sale for $65, and it seems very random how they label them-- so I doubt there'd be any point in debating it. He's still cute, healthy and eating like a little pig. He's also super personable. It's $65 well spent.

    ID the morph??

Yeah, my red is a leatherback and I don't think this one is. He was labelled a "fancy" bearded dragon at Petsmart-- God knows what. Why is he so much lighter than all the other normals they had? Just a variance? Will he stay lighter for life?

    ID the morph??

Can anyone help me with a morph ID? We just got this little guy last night, kind of spur of the moment. My fiance came into my life when my beardie was already full grown and has wanted to raise her own. So this is Rocco. I think he may be a hypo?? His nails are less than black-- a brown...

    DIY enclosures?

Yeah, I've spent the night looking at various things and I think we are goind to try our hand at building our own enclosure. Pre-made enclosures are either not even close to the right dimensions, or very, very expensive. I think our local home depot will do cuts for us for a fee. We're going to...

    DIY enclosures?

My fiance and I went to the local fish store today to get hermits for our marine tank... figured it'd be about $10 or $12, but the bill came to $155. !!!! Darn expensive hermits!! We ended up coming home with a Chinese Water Dragon, a subadult. We've always admired them and have...

    My first baby beardie

After years of caring for adult beardies that people ditched with me, I finally have gotten down to one adult and had a spare viv open, so my lady bought me a gorgeous red Italian leatherback. I've named him Zeke. He is super cute and is getting quite friendly! Day I brought him home: He is...

    MVB for young dragons

Are MVB suitable for young dragons that are still small enough to be living in a 20 gallon? Or is that too much heat? We are going to be getting our very first baby dragon after having adult rescues for years, and you'd think I'd be less nervous, but no-- second guessing everything! Right now...

    Beardie breeders in the mid-Atlantic

My fiance and I have been keeping, rescuing, and rehoming bearded dragons for many years now. We've decided we'd like to buy a baby and raise it ourselves. This will be a novel thing for us-- we've mostly dealt with adults in the past. At our local shows we became entranced with the Italian...

    Abcess-- antibiotics prescribed

We had our vet appointment with Tank today. The vet was not one I've had before (they lost the appointment with our usual herp vet) and was very young. I've seen her there a few times but never worked with her. She seemed to have her basics down. She said the lump feels hard and could well be...

    Question about a rescue beardie

We hope so, too. Thanks Barbara.

    Question about a rescue beardie

The bump has formed slowly. The spot on the 2nd pic is just food dried onto his chin. The lips on the other side are not usually like that...he just gaped at the camera seconds before it snapped. And unfortunatly bumping up the appointment is probably going to be impossible since I want the herp...

    Question about a rescue beardie

We have had Tank for just under 18 months. When we got Tank from Craigslist as a rescue, the owner told us he was only 9 months old. He was being kept on blue calcium sand and had turned completely blue in color. They were feeding him kale without supplementation and were not using UV light. He...

A few photos of our rescued beardie, Tank

Happy birthday to me... A gentleman always waits to be served... And he has really cool eyes! We took this full body shot for our iHerp page.

    Bearded Dragon size concern

My GF and I have a bearded dragon that was a Craigs list purchase/rescue from a person who had two beardies in the same cage together who bred "accidentally." We have had Tank since late last summer, and were told he was about a year old at that time which would indicate that he is currently...

    Cresties ready to go!

Our 18 month old crested gecko pair seems ready to go. The female has begun going into an egg laying pattern and we have now provided nesting material. Hopefully they will reward us soon with some fertile eggs, which will be the first we've ever produced! It will be neat to see what the babies...
