You mean too much of a glare to the beardie? With that hood, it says there's a shade/glass. I've heard that UV can barely penetrate through glass, does that remain true for this hood? Could you elaborate on the cons of using no hood and just the bulbs?

Does anyone know of anything I can buy to attach to the ends of a flourescent tube in order to use it without having a hood? Something similar to flourescent light control units?
