reptisun 10.0 t5 bad for beardies?

I know. I'm just going to stick to this forum. I was getting so mad because she was talking to me like I was one of those people who know nothing about bearded dragons. I accidentally ordered the 5.0 instead of the 10.0, Ugh. Probably because I was caught up in all the excitement of getting it...

reptisun 10.0 t5 bad for beardies?

They already deleted me from the group. I really hope someone on here goes to the group and let's them know. I didn't have a lot of supporting information. Just the basics. So maybe someone can go educate them. They kept saying it was for rainforest animals and was NOT for bearded dragons...

reptisun 10.0 t5 bad for beardies?

I am in a bearded dragon group on Facebook. I posted that I ordered the t5 10.0 but was wondering if I could use a regular fixture instead of an HO. Numerous people commented that the t5 was not good for beardies and was meant ONLY for rainforest animals (uh what?). They went on to say it...

    Rescued beardie behaviour

Use slate tiiles, they're not glossy at all. I Imagine Sand sheets are not at all easy to clean making them unsanitary.

    Back bending/arching~ 15 years old

I know he has done well all these years, but I would definitely stick with the reptisun 10 not 5. 5 is for tropical climate animals and 10 is for desert, beardies are desert and that could definitely be the cause of the hump. What kind of supplements to do you use? Do you dust with calcium powder?

What to look for when buying a new dragon?

I got my baby beardie from them a few weeks ago and he was also running around when I picked him up. He looked find, no missing limbs or anything and alert and healthy. But i'm already having feeding and growth problems with him. Petsmart feeds their beardies meal worms (so bad for them) so mine...

Possible respiratory problems and eye infection.

Sounds like he may have a respiratory infection from the misting. Don't mist in the tank, it raises the humidity which causes the RI. I would find a good herp vet and take him in to get some antibiotics if he needs them.
