    new beardie

Not sure some beardies are calmed down by a bath others Are stressed. Wait a couple more days and see how he is and then bathe him.

Oh another tip, try to keep the UVB on the same side as the basking bulb, they should be able to get UVB and heat at the same time.

    new beardie

That's a cute name! Glad you want to take care of him. A lot of people just don't do their research and do what's cheap instead. What kind of UVB do you have?

    new beardie

His stress level will probably go down. Do you have a fluorescent UVB bulb in addition to the heat? Cabbage is not nutritious for bearded dragons. It would be like eating potato chips every day. Try feeding mustard greens, collard greens, or dandelion greens instead. He'll be much happier. :)...

    new beardie

Congrats on the new dragon! If he has a black beard, black lines on his belly, or just seems darker in general, he's definitely stressed. But generally moving around stresses them out too, being in a new environment and all. Maybe leave him alone for a couple of days and let him get acquainted...

Was a He, now a She, need a name!

My cute little gimpy rescue was Hiccup, but then he started waving at me, so I checked and He is a SHE! So I need help with names! I was thinking Astrid, Saphira, or Mango! She is missing part of her tail, and all toes on one finger so she's always flipping me off lol. And she has a deep...

    Eeps! 250 supers!

So I ordered a Bearded Dragon Sampler pack and it came with 250 supers. They are medium size (which I wasn't aware of) and they are bigger than the distance between her eyes. She is only 12" long, but she is a rescue so I think she may be full grown already. Not sure on her age though. The...

    Strange behaviors?!

I will try to post a video later today. She did it after eating yesterday so maybe she will today too.

    Superworms?

I'm going through the same problem as you. I ordered 250 medium superworms and I dread seeing all of them in their cup - there are so many and they are huge! My girl is only 12", but she is a rescue so she may be full grown. Still I'm nervous to feed them because they are already bigger than...

    Strange behaviors?!

I posted in Behaviors but wasn't getting any help there... I was trying to hand feed my little girl some greens, and after a couple of bites she was gaping at me slightly and looking up at me. She wasn't gaping because of heat because her lamps were off. There was no hissing or lunging, does...

    Dig box

I know it can be expensive but it's not good for them to be together. If they injure each other bad enough the vet bills will be more expensive. You could look for one more 40 gal tank on craigslist - I got mine for 40$. the extra fixtures would probably add another 40$, but really that's all...

    Shedding/tail rot/Skinny? *pics*

Just found out my little rescue is actually a girl! :blob5: So while I was bending her and examining her and probably pissing her off I noticed some other things. The tip of her tail is black, could it be tail rot? It's always been like that for the past week so I know it's not stress...

Opened mouth at me while not basking?

I was trying to entice my little girl to eat a piece of collard, and she was looking up at me and then just opened her mouth a little. Not very wide, but just a small amount so I could see her tongue. There was no hissing or lunging. I tried putting the collard in her mouth thinking that was...
