HELP!!! Not eating and now looking really bad!

I'm aware of the UVB reflection, hence the HO bulb. It's plenty of UVB reaching the bottom of that tank. It's also only 6 months old. And yes, the basking lamp is white.

HELP!!! Not eating and now looking really bad!

Sure. 40 gal breeder. Reptisun T5 HO 10.0 UVB in the ZooMed hood on the cold side (on top of the screen top, which is why the HO), 100W basking bulb (day) and ceramic heat emmiter (night) on the hot side. Ceramic tile substrate. Feeding dish (no water dish).

HELP!!! Not eating and now looking really bad!

Alynga was 7 months old when we got her last May and despite being a finicky eater, she finally settled on dubias as something she seemed to love (never did care for greens). She put on weight, grew, and seemed to be happy. About a week and a half ago, she stopped eating her roaches pretty...

Loose stool w/ whole phoenix worms!

Help! My wife just reported that our dragon has produced a large stool (unformed, like diarrhea - maybe not quite as wet) with a few whole phoenix worms in it. She's been a very finicky eater since we've had her and generally (well, nearly completely) ignores whatever greens or other...

    humidity issues

Same problem here. Alynga is in a 40 gal breeder. Cool side is between 75-80 during the day and the humidity (as measured by a probe stuck to the glass on the cool side) is anywhere from 45-50%! She has a screen top and believe it or not, an EvaDry333 in the tank on the cool side, right next...

    To medicate, or not?

Alynga (7 mos. old) had a little mucous in her nose when we bought her at Repticon the week before last. (I know, I know... a big, red "don't buy me" flag) The breeder suggested that she was a little cold due to the travel and show conditions, but that he'd provide antibiotics, gratis, if we...

    Semi-urgent heating question

Part of the problem may be that her hot spot is at the top end of an inclined branch. She doesn't have any trouble sitting there, but perhaps it needs to be a bit more level? Last night while I was adjusting the bulb, all she wanted to do was sit on the probe (she wasn't being helpful at all...

    Semi-urgent heating question

Thanks for the response. I'm using a digital thermometer/hygrometer with probes. No reason to doubt accuracy. Just not sure how long it really takes for the thermometer probe to stabilize. I had purchased a well-reviewed temperature gun the other day, but when it measured an ice cube...

    Semi-urgent heating question

So... being total noobs, we didn't set up Alynga's enclosure until we had brought her home. Didn't find this site until I was already convinced we were unprepared, but the good news is, it's been about 3 days and I think we're close to getting it right. My semi-urgent question (or maybe I'm...

    Trouble finding carpet!

I have been since reading about it here. What kind of slate are we talking about? Everything I'm familiar with from the hardware store is glazed porcelain. Is there a special reptile-friendly tile I need to look for?

    Lighting Help for Newbies (:

My 7 month old is in a 40 gal breeder. Do I really need to be using a 28" UVB tube? And I understand that screens block out up to 50% UVB, but what if I'm using the new ReptiSun 10.0 T5 HO? The website indicates that the HO can be used outside of a screen due to the increased output and...

    Trouble finding carpet!

Couldn't find a 40 breeder in stores (only 40 standard, which is only 15" deep) and I've checked my local PetCo and PetSmart as well as their websites. Zoo Med seems to be the only brand that even makes 18x36, but again, every source I've found online does not allow color selection, including...

    Trouble finding carpet!

We just became new beardie owners and have a happy 7 month old girl, who has yet to be named, in a 40 gal. breeder. I'm desperately looking for carpet, but the only thing I can find that will fit the 40 gal breeder is the ZooMed Repti Carpet (CC-40B). It comes in brown, which is the only color...
