    Dragging back legs-Help

Dont have the xrays here. She checked for eggs and said there was none. She showed me the xrays and said she had a little food in her stomach but otherwise, she looked empty of eggs, poop, or a blockage. She said though that she was very fat and showed me the side xray where you could see all...

    Dragging back legs-Help

An another question for those that might know, could all the fat in her belly/back area push against her spine causing the back legs to be paralyzed? She still will pull them and if you try and gently straighten them out. Also the vet did a test and would just tweak all her toes and she would...

    Dragging back legs-Help

So Harley is 5 years old and overweight. I had her to the vet early last week. The vet took xrays and did a blood test. She said there was no impaction or broken bones and that her calcium level seemed a little elevated. She originally was just not using 1 leg. She also does not poop unless you...

    And we have eggs!!!

Lol, nah they were the smaller to medium horn worms. The big ones, she eats probably 3 of them and is full. And yeah, i was giving her bugs 2 times a week and making her eat veggies the rest of the week but since laying the eggs, i read you should load them back with protein dusted with calcium...

    And we have eggs!!!

Oh god, I'm going to have to deal with this all over again!!?? :banghead: I went and got her horn worms. She LOVES them and silk worms. She ate 8 horn worms the minute i showed her the little tub haha. Now she is ready for sleep. She never has been a big veggie eater. As a baby she would...

    And we have eggs!!!

First off, thanks AHBD for all the help. Well after about a week and a half of me sweatin bullets and worrying about Harley, she finally laid eggs this morning. 23 infertile ones and now she is back to her pancake lazy self. Gave her a nice long warm soak and she drank some water, played around...

How exactly does a lay box work?

She is so spoiled lol. She gets baths with in her little tub next to me while i watch tv usually twice a week. Gets hand fed what veggies she will eat and all her worms and dubias. She gets covered up with her blankets at night after lights go out. As for a lid, the tub didnt come with one...

How exactly does a lay box work?

Well after leaving her in the big box on and off for a couple day, i found out she really hates that thing. She doesnt really move in it much and when she does move, its mostly just to scratch at the side to get out. Then she gives me the sad look when i check on her. So i ended up just doing...

Thanks. Yeah it has a the higher half covered with a lid of another tub plus the stuff on top to weigh it down so she cant push it.

How exactly does a lay box work?

Well i went and got another bag of play sand and also picked up a bigger tub. Got one about the size of a 40 gallon breeder. It's 36x17x13 i think. Anyways, hopefully she will have more room to walk around and contemplate a good spot to dig lol. Oh and like i asked, i take her out when lights...

How exactly does a lay box work?

Well a little update, she started digging in the corner with the least amount lol. She dug a crater, sat in it for a little bit, stared at me for awhile as i have her cage and the lay box to the right of the TV, and now is just trying to get out again lol. So i guess i just put her in and...

How exactly does a lay box work?

Awesome. So I'm guessing you just packed it to the top with the sand and then notched out a corner and started a little tunnel and put the lid on? I like that idea as it would be easier to just leave her in her cage and let her go in there and dig on her own instead of having to move her from...

How exactly does a lay box work?

Ok so from my other thread of active and peeing, looks like my 4 year old beardie girl is going to lay eggs. So i guess i need a lay box but I'm not sure exactly how it works. I read the thread of setting one up but do i just put my beardie in there and leave her there for a few days? Or do i...

Beardie active and peeing all the time.

Ok well now I'm worried as I've never had to deal with this before. So in the morning, i will hit up Lowes for the play sand and i got a 66 qt Sterilite bin. I'll put her heat lamp over it on half of it. Then i just put her in it and leave her in there for a couple days?

Beardie active and peeing all the time.

Ok so with a lay box, I'm assuming its not something you put the regular cage like a hide? I mean from it saying 50-60 qts, I'm guessing i put the whole sand box inside her cage half under the heat lamp? Then just leave her in it for a couple days?
