    Is my lighting wrong?

I'd say that section of log is about 8" if not a little bit more. I see him up there a few times a day. I also have another hood with a smaller reptisun bulb on the side of his viv (the one I had used on his baby viv) but I don't turn that one on because I am worried about possible over exposure...

    Is my lighting wrong?

Chaz's house by SicGolfRowner, on Flickr This is a home made viv and the overall height is 24" from floor to screen/chicken wire. The log that you see Chaz sitting on is made of plastic and absorbs a lot of heat. I have my temperature probe tucked in a crack close to where he is basking (his...

Recently I moved my beardies home downstairs because we needed room to set up our nursery. He usually isn't very active but now he is running around, scratching glass, not eating his roaches but devouring his greens. Nothing really has changed except now he isn't confined to a room that no one...

    Beardie

Neither really, depends on how you move. If you are standing over the cage or making fast movements when you try to reach in then it could be scared. Try to move slowly and when you hold it make sure you have all 4 legs supported with your hand because they like to have all 4 legs on something...

    Half brumation?

I have an 11 month old male beardie named Chaz and he seems like he is in partial brumation now. He is still eating fairly normally however he has been hiding when I put his hide in. I took his hide out because he won't bask to digest his food and I don't want him going to sleep on a full...
