Ya she has been acting normal. Thats a bummer that I shouldn't be feeding it because she absolutely LOVED it. Like I have never seen her eat anything like that before.

    Feeding Avocado

Hello. So I was recently looking at the beautiful dragons safe foods list. I noticed that avocados were in red and your never supposed to feed them. A few weeks ago I gave my dragon a couple slices of avocado and she LOVED it. She is obviously ok but do you guys think I should do anything else...

    Lights Necessary During Brumation?

Thank you! I know from last year that he will not come out of brumation in less than perfect condition because last year I was gone and his lights burned out. The lizard sitters changed his bulbs but when I got back I failed to realize that the bulb I had on hand was keeping the cage much too...

    Lights Necessary During Brumation?

Hello, I have a bearded dragon that is a few years old. He brumates for a good 3 months without eating or anything the whole time. I am going on a trip for about a week for the holidays. I am obviously not going to have anyone feed him or anything so is it ok to just turn the lights off...

    $10 Fecal Floats

Hello, I know that many of you do not have adequate vets to take your reptiles too and it is a pain to do your own fecal floats. Anyway I found on Cheryl's website (beardeddragon.co) that for $10 you can get everything you need to send her a fecal float test for your dragon. Personally I would...

    Beardie Harness/Grouchy Dragon

My dragon has never been one to like handling or anything. He doesn't even like being picked up and will leap out of my hand. He would much rather just sit in his cage and never have any contact. He is a very healthy dragon it just makes it hard to clean the cage and stuff. I also would like to...

Any way to cut down on cricket smell?

I have found that it is more there feces that smell bad. You can clean out the cage but the amount of work it takes and it goes back to smelling horribly in a day it is not worth it.

Any way to cut down on cricket smell?

I would advise you not to use window screen because crickets can easily chew through it an you will have quite a few runaway crickets. I made that mistake. What you should use is the metal screen. It is definitely worth the extra time to find it because they cannot chew through that.

    Green Feces?

Would that have an effect on it now though? When I use to feed them this never happened. I forgot to mention that about a day before he got really dark and got a lot of stress marks. Now they are gone. Every once in a while he will do that for a few days but I just always ignored it.

Any way to cut down on cricket smell?

I couldnt find anything that really made it smell better. Eventually I moved my crickets to the garage where ants infested it so now I no longer feed crickets. :D

    Green Feces?

So my male dragon recently passed extremely green feces. This was on Saturday and hasn't since pooped which is fairly normal for my dragon. He poops a lot for a few days then goes a few days. Anyway, beacause I am sure you will be wondering, his basking temp (surface temp) is between 105 and 112...

Lots of Eating but no pooping?

I would get a fecal done for sure as soon as you get something to take. That is definitely not normal.

Who wants to help add content to BeardedDragon.org?!

I would also be interested in helping wherever I am needed. I would like you to note that I cannot do grammar or editing. That is definitely not a strong suit of mine. :D

Hello from Australia! Regarding sand substrate.

I tried it and my dragon got extremely stressed and hated it. The sand also smelled... Horrible. It was so repulsive and I could smell it down the hallway. It was horrible. I personally would not use it again.

Hypo Babies! - The Coliosis Clan - Pics pg 11/12

The fact that your tegu is friendly makes me extremely worried about it. That 99.99999% of the time means it is not being cared for properly. The fact that he had a prolapse points to that too.
