    Silkie- skin lesions

I purchased this girl several days ago, and when I did she was covered in old shed. I got her home and got her lotioned up and after a few soaks the old shed came off and revealed these troublesome lesions. They remind me of yellow fungus, but I'm not sure. I have messaged the breeder and am...

    Oh no... yellow fungus....

He passed away at the vets a few weeks ago.

    Rescued baby, please help!

The little guy continued to go downhill despite my best effort. I am taking him to the vet, and I don't think he'll be coming back home. He stopped eating and drinking and he fights so hard when I try to force feed him with a syringe. He's barely hanging on, and it's not fair for me to keep him...

    Rescued baby, please help!

Thank you for the reply! He isn't shedding from what I can tell. The eye has looked that way for over a mint from what I can gather. Does it look like yellow fungus? It isn't yellow at all, but it concerns me that his skin appears to have the same texture as YF. It's flaky so soft. I put...

    Rescued baby, please help!

So, good news! I came home and his face looks SO much better. Much less puffy! Looking at his face now, it doesn't look like yellow fungus. :) hopefully it's not! I still applied some monistat just in case. He has some very pretty colors in there! nubster by Hallie06, on Flickr nubby by...

    Rescued baby, please help!

I'll post some better pictures tonight when I get home. I was able to get him to eat 10 small crickets this morning. He doesn't want to chase the crickets but once I get his mouth open he will happily eat his crickets.

    Rescued baby, please help!

I'm at work so I can only post some cell phone pics, but I can post some from my camera tonight. Here's one for now- image by Hallie06, on Flickr I guess the dark area on his pelvis is the beginning of yellow fungus?

    Rescued baby, please help!

Thank you. I'm going to go ahead and start with the monistat tonight. It definitely sounds like yellow fungus. I hope it isn't, but he has every symptom and few other things could make his skin the way it is. :( I hope he pulls through.

    Oh no... yellow fungus....

I rescued a baby beardie, and was hellbent on saving him. He had a weird face skin issue, and the more I'm reading the more it sounds like Yellow Fungus. His poor tiny body is covered in skin that is falling off... This is such a disappointment and a huge blow. I'm still going to try to...

i thought it was eye bulging but possibly yellow fungus? :(

My baby looks the same, it was a rescue and I was hoping I could save him, but the more I read about yellow fungus the more I think he may have it. I'll be following your thread, my guy's face looks like yours, just more extreme.

    Rescued baby, please help!

Thank you, I will just drizzle the water on his nose for him to drink and stop the soaks. I have stopped messing with his skin after the one incident. Since he stopped chasing crickets I have to force feed him, and his skin is so sensitive even that made him bleed a little. :( I am so...

    Rescued baby, please help!

Thanks for the fast reply. I have tried the sauna technique I do with my Leos and my snakes, and the skin got mushy and was obviously coming off, I tried to gently help remove the skin but it was so thin and flaky I was worried it was his live viable skin. He started bleeding and that freaked...

    Rescued baby, please help!

I recently rescued a baby bearded dragon that has had his foot and tail bitten off by the other babies. I took him home and set him up in a 10 gallon I had with a tube UVB and a basking light. I know the temps are hard to maintain in a 10, but for right now this is all I can do. He can't walk...

    Tried everything, nothing is working.

Yes. Like I said, the temp of my room is about 65 and the bulb is nearly 2 ft above my beardie since he's in a 55.

    Tried everything, nothing is working.

I used to use nothing at night and let the temp drop down to 65 (that's how cold my house is) but that kept throwing him into brummation. The uvb is mounted on the inside of the tank so he can get within 6" of it. How can I increase his basking temp? It's only 95 with a 150 watt light. An uth...

    Tried everything, nothing is working.

He's on ceramic tile as a substrate. No sand. I measure temps with a digital probe thermometer. Basking spot stays 95-99 and the cool side stays around 77. At nighttime the ceramic heat emitter keeps where he sleeps around 80.
