TWINS! Two babies hatching from the same egg!

They're all doing great so far. The only one I had any issues with was a premie hatchling from her first clutch born with the took sac still attached, and he's almost 4 months old now and doing great! I'm not sure if I'll keep them, though I want to, but I'm running out of room lol! I have 2...

TWINS! Two babies hatching from the same egg!

I don't know how often this happens, but from what I've read it's fairly rare. And just really cool anyway! I love this! My Zaria decided to lay a small clutch and though they shouldn't have been fertile, I put them in the incubator anyway, just in case. And I'm so glad I did! I had 5...

    2 new beardies :)

Thanks guys! I just love them! And so do my other 2 adults :) They all get along fantastically whenever they're together (no, not housed together!)

    2 new beardies :)

I don't know that I would call them rescues, but they were both given to me in the past couple of weeks because their owners didn't have time for them. They're both so pretty! I love them :) Not sure if I'll be keeping them for the long term, but most likely I will. I'm having a hard enough...

Need Help Please! Hatchling with yolk sac not well :(

Just an update- Little Trooper is doing FANTASTIC! For about a week, I kept him separated in a tupperware bowl but in the tank with the other babies because it was warmer there than in the incubator. Since then, he's been with his brothers, running and eating crickets and if it wasn't for him...

Need Help Please! Hatchling with yolk sac not well :(

Well, my little guy is now climbing around on me, his umbilical and string are almost totally dried up now. He only goes a few inches, then stops, then he'll move a little more, but hey, it's still a huge improvement from where he was last night and earlier today (I hope!) Here's a new pic of...

Need Help Please! Hatchling with yolk sac not well :(

He doesn't really open his eyes much unless I go irritating him. But, I talked to a lady this morning that raises snakes and a few other reptiles, and she runs a small pet store where I get my crickets between shipments. I told her the situation, and she basically told me what I already knew...

Need Help Please! Hatchling with yolk sac not well :(

Oh he hatched around noon Saturday, so not as long as I was thinking (feels like longer) but I still would think he should have absorbed more if he was going to by now. He's maybe 2/3 the size of his 2 brothers too, quite a bit smaller.

Need Help Please! Hatchling with yolk sac not well :(

No, he really isn't moving around much it opening his eyes much. He did perk up some when I was running the little bit of water, but it could have been from pain. He also will cling to me with his little legs if I move him. I've been lightly misting him to keep him hydrated and the sac and...

    Baby dragon hasn't absorbed yolk

I have one as well, and mine isn't doing so well after 2 days- still hasn't absorbed it. Everything I could find says to put him in a little tub with damp paper towel under him to help keep it moist, and to keep him in the incubator until he absorbs it. I guess it can take up to 2 days or so...

Need Help Please! Hatchling with yolk sac not well :(

I have always frozen and tossed the eggs we got, because I seriously just wasn't interested in breeding and all that comes with it. Well, I decided to keep a clutch, did my research first and had everything ready (I thought!) We had a swarm of gnats get in the house somehow, and they managed...

How do I tell what *kind* they are?

Or if they are anything other than just normal or sandfire? Zaria is a really dark rust color with yellow legs and arms, and then Draco is just a pale tan/grey. I'm assuming he's just sandfire/normal, but with her coloring, what do you think? Any ideas? this is Draco and Zaria - hard to...

New Here. Introducing Jack and Sally.

They're both adorable! As for people giving them away on craigslist, they don't do so much of that here. Usually they want $150 or more for them and their setups, which are usually just the basics. I did get my girl from a college kid a few months ago, way underfed and a bit on the small...

    New Here :)

She hasn't been to a vet since she laid. Does she need to? She's eating and pooing fine and acts back to her normal self. I didn't feel any other egg bulges in her belly after she finished. She popped the first one out early evening, about 6, then the others out around 11pm within about 15...

    New Here :)

Hi all! I'm Kendra, mommy to 2 Beardies. Draco is my boy, supposed to be about 10 months, but I think he's a little older as he's already 19 inches long! Zaria is my girly, 4 yrs old but she's only been with me for a couple of months. She was in a smaller 20g aquarium when I got her, quite...
