    Check me?

My girlie is 10 months old. She is 10 almost 11 months old. She weighs just over a pound (forgot to write the grams down- I think it was 600ish?) She is 19 1/2 inches long. She doesn't eat all that much these days. (whole other story so she is kinda skinny for her length) I am refining her tank...

    Please help Faye

King doesn't like paper towel substrate because that kind of lizard likes burrowing kind of substrate. And he is laying on top of your Beardie because it's a dominance thing. Who ever can get more heat/light lays on top. It's a dominance thing. Looks like her being sick made her easier to...

    Please help Faye

It looks like Plated Lizards need more intense basking temps and higher humidity than a Beardie. I found this link...http://www.888reptiles.co.uk/reptilecare/caresheet_platedlizard.php But I would also do a search on more Plated Lizard care to verify the accuracy of the care information...

    Please help Faye

I think if you can separate them- it will really help. She needs special care that the other lizard apparently does not need right now. Not to mention you run the risk of getting the other one sick too. And not many people/animals when they are sick would prefer to be left alone- if she looks...

Do you think this is mouth rot?

I've been outside most of the day cleaning the duck coop and getting it ready for more ducks so I haven't had a chance to watch her. I did get her to eat one single leaf of dandelion green. It was a trick (her mouth was cracked up from licking it to see what it was) and I slid a part in while...

Do you think this is mouth rot?

Back from the vet. He doesn't think it's mouth rot. He said there is no compromised bone/jaw/teeth. That actually looking inside she looks fantastic. There is no redness or sign of infection if you open her mouth. Just the slight swelling there. He doesn't want to intervene at this point. He...

Do you think this is mouth rot?

That's SO insane! She has been doing a lot of odd laying positions, waving to my son (why him I'll never know), waving to her own reflection sometimes, dashing around her viv, rubbing her face on the window or her viv back and forth like she is trying to get out (a lot)...her mouth looks funny...

Do you think this is mouth rot?

I need to preface this with the fact that we got ducks about 6 weeks ago. We have been brooding them and it has been exhausting. It's a lot of work. We did the first batch of 12, then second batch of 8. So I have been VERY distracted and haven't been focused on my Nikka so much during this time...

Nikka's World (new fresh pics jan24!)

They were totally out of hornworms by the time I got there. I was soooo sad. :( I got some butters and little supers for now (my alligator lizards like the supers too) to offer in addition to her Dubia meals. I can't wait to offer her some hornworms now though. She is getting SO big!

Nikka's World (new fresh pics jan24!)

Ok some recents from my Instagram account haha. (she gets a lot of camera time!) And just an fyi- I never ever EVER leave her alone outside her viv. EVER. I know you see kitties but I am always there and they are never allowed to do more than sniff her and if she beards (she hasn't yet) they are...

    Beardie & Supers question

I try some every other month. Literally and they die off. She leaves them in there. Even when they are wriggling like mad. Each time I order them she eats one out of curiosity and then does the head tilt to eye them but won't eat anymore. :|

    Greens/salad

I offer a literal salad (I buy the southern green mix in a bag) and chop it fine. By chopping it fine- she eats more. It's her breakfast. Her bugs are her lunch and dinner. She used to not eat them much. I kept offering and kept offering every single day. Now she gets cranky at me if I am late...

    Beardie & Supers question

Thank you so much for your help! Off to find some micros. The wriggling made her so excited haha! She hates those phoenix worms but really liked these. :D

    Beardie & Supers question

Ok so I should hold off for a bit unless I offer micros then? Thanks so much! I am glad I didn't give her more than I did! She pooped normally afterwards and for days after but I don't want to risk impaction.

    Beardie & Supers question

I'm sorry if this has been asked. My Nikka is growing bigger and bigger and I like the idea of feeding her more feeders to supplement her main feeder. I'm a variety kinda gal and love doing the same for my critters. She eats mainly dubias. I occasionally offer crickets (when I am running low on...
