Lethargic, listless, not moving at all...

I took him to the vet a few hours ago. The vet said at this point, there's nothing he could do for him. Had him euthanized. Very upset at the moment.

Lethargic, listless, not moving at all...

I can only hear him when he does the heavy breathing. It's only one, very large, breath. But, I touched his lips just now and it made a mucus trail to my finger.

Lethargic, listless, not moving at all...

I honestly can't see him breathing or even moving his chest at all... only when he takes the deep breaths every so-often...

Lethargic, listless, not moving at all...

A digital Fluke meter used in field work. Haven't heard of this...But I assume it's a probe? It's an IR sensor, but I also use a probe. Bearded Dragon bites, every other day. He needs protein, and fresh veggies, not just beardie bites. How long have you been feeding just beardie bites? Those...

Lethargic, listless, not moving at all...

When is the last time you changed the UVB and is it a florescent tube or a compact/coil? Fluorescent tube, the old one was around 4-5 months old and ready to be changed. But, when I went to change the bulb, my hood crapped out and stopped working. I have a new one in the mail, shipping as we...

Lethargic, listless, not moving at all...

Alright, my bearded is 3 years old now and I'm having a very awful problem. He's not moving at all, even when picked up. He won't open his eyes and his gums (lips?) are drooping very slightly. When he does show movement his head is cocked to the side and he twitches it slightly. At first I...

    Concerned Owner

Substrate is non-adhesive shelf liner from Wal-Mart, it's always been the same. Feedings are usually crickets, dubia roaches, and a salad composed of greens. His basking temperature is usually around 98-103 degrees. Maybe it's not once or twice a month, I don't necessarily log his bathroom...

    Concerned Owner

I have not posted here in a while, but I do have a concern for my beardie. Here's a list of things I've notice in the past month... 1. He's been on an irregular bathroom schedule. He used to use the bathroom everyday at 11am. Now, it's sporadic and it's not on a regular basis-perhaps maybe once...

    Yellow mass in feces?

This is the first yellow mass I've seen, and I'm the only one that cares for him. He does not regularly eat greens because I can't seem to keep greens good for more than a few days in my fridge. As far as protein goes I feed him dubia roaches and crickets.

    Yellow mass in feces?

I mix the rep-cal formulas together into a 1:4 ratio. 1 part nutrition powder and 4 parts calcium. For the first months I had him it was hard and nearly dry, I do spray him and give him baths rather frequently so he is very well hydrated. He's not lethargic at all, during his bath the other day...

    Yellow mass in feces?

I was originally concerned that Vlad had parasites, but I think it was just my over-caring self being paranoid. This morning I noticed Vlad had an unusual yellow mass (to the left in the picture) that was a tad hard and spongy. His urates have also had a marshmellow texture and consistency...

    Your Opinion

Bearded dragons have varying anatomies just like us humans. Or, at least, I hope you're human. Regardless, If he's in good health and he eats well and does everything an active beardie is supposed to do then he should be fine. My dragon on the other hand is a fatty, but I love him.

    Constant stress marks...

I appreciate the input, I was assuming they weren't stress marks. My dragon is very, very, very, spoiled and I worry about him all too often! :D

    Constant stress marks...

My beardie, Vlad, has had constant stress marks ever since I got him. I never really took much note about it until I was holding him one day and came across "stress mark" pictures. For some reason I just assumed my dragon didn't have them, until I saw an actual picture. I read many articles...

    My new class pet!

We have the same digital thermometer, and it's very accurate. I'm unsure on your dragons behavior, since they're beasts of habit his old vivarium may of been way too hot, so he got very used to sitting under the shade.

    My new class pet!

Hmm, usually bearded dragons enjoy the shade because it's too hot elsewhere in their tanks. Perhaps your bearded dragon just prefers to be in the shade? Bearded dragons have such unique personalities, it's very enjoyable watching them to find their own quirky behaviors. If you know for sure that...

    Wearing collars?

I'm unsure myself about the conditions of bearded dragons on leashes. But, I found this nifty product link on here that has some reviews you could skim over to formulate your own opinions, http://www.beardeddragon.org/reviews/product.php?id=69. This might also interest you ...
