    dark spot on Beardie

I hope so soon. It's been quite some time that she's had the spot as I didn't go to the vet initially--it was cold out and my elderly cat was dying so I was focused on him. It has definitely not gotten any larger.

    dark spot on Beardie

I did it 2x a day for 3 weeks and then started trying the other things and doing it 1x a day. It seemed a tiny bit better but not gone. She is generally active and eating and had a good bill of health otherwise at her check up.

    dark spot on Beardie

Thanks. This is a specialist but I can get another opinion. I agree surgery is radical.

    dark spot on Beardie

Thanks so much. The vet did scrape it but really wasn't sure what it was. She prescribed the silver ointment and that's about it. She did suggest surgery--which sounds drastic and I fear it might do more harm then good. I will try the Betadine as suggested. How do I send her a message?

    dark spot on Beardie

My female beardie also has a dark spot on her lower back. I took her to a reptile vet and she sold me a silver antibiotic cream (Silver Sulfadiazine Cream 1%) to put on 2x day. That seems to be for bacterial and yeast infections. I did that for 3 weeks and it still seems to be there though it...

    Worried about Igor

Thursday Igor was very weak--I knew he was dying. When I got home from work he was limp--took him to the vet and she confirmed he was dead. The necropsy revealed that he had 2 masses--1 in the abdomen and one near his heart. He was probably suffering--poor guy. I am heartbroken looking at the...

    Worried about Igor

Igor --who is approaching his 9th b'day -- was seemingly uninterested in his food--even ignoring his favorite crickets as they hopped by him. His color had gotten paler. So today I took him to the small animal vet. She found an area that was bulging which turned out to be fluid--which she is...

Best way to stimulate a beardie

Last night I brought him out and let him sit on my shoulder and on the table. He seemed very calm. Gave him a nice bath. Today he seemed more alert. What do people use to clip the nails? How much do you take away?

Best way to stimulate a beardie

My guy refused to eat the other greens you mention when I tried to introduced them. Thanks for the tip on the meal worms--he seemed to enjoy them and I had them in the house (raising them myself) so I was giving them frequently. I didnt realize that was a problem.

Best way to stimulate a beardie

Really baths 3-4 times a week? And for how long? Any reco's on foods--he gets kale (only likes very curly type), meal worms (that I raise) and crickets. Anything else? Yes we are thinking of adopting him out. I feel badly for him. What about toys--I see that on this site?
