    Are these eggs fertile?

Looking at the pictures in the guide, I still can't tell for some. A few do look kinda yellow and bent, but some don't.

Croaker has tasted the blood of humanity

So, a few days ago, my girlfriend was hand-feeding Croaker some blackberries (his new favorite food) when he bit one in half. She tried to pick up the fallen portion about the same time he reached for it, and sank his teeth into her finger, biting right through her nail. His teeth then caught on...

    Leo with shedding problem

Hey. So, a friend of mine has had a leo for near-on ten years that he rescued from his boss's kids. Well, she's having trouble shedding her eye scales. She's doing the repeat-shedding thing, and is getting thin. I've been told that saline can help a leo to shed her eyes. Does anyone else have a...

    Bearded Dragon on wikipedia

Being bored, I looked at wikipedia's page for bearded dragons. It did not make me a happy camper. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bearded_dragon Bearded Dragons make great pets for children of all ages. In order to own a bearded dragon you need to purchase the following things a big cage, sand...

    Head-bobbing in Sleep!

Oh my goodness, it was so adorable! I had Croaker out sleeping on my chair, and all of a sudden, he started head-bobbing while he was alseep. He must have been dreaming about some big face-off with another beardie, or something of the like. Oh my goodness, I wish I had a video.

    Ceramic Tile Questions

Well, Croaker's all grown up, or at least mostly grown up at 20 inches. I think it is time to move away from paper towels and get something more permanent. My choices, as I see it, are reptile carpet and ceramic tiles. Carpet is ugly, which leaves ceramic. Should I be expecting to have to cut...

I Saw a Lizard Once... blue, horns, sails

Ok, so a few months ago, I remember seeing a picture of a unique reptile, but I cannot remember its species. This lizard was over a meter long, was blue to purple in coloration, and had a sail on its back and horns. Don't suppose any of you know what this guy is?

    Combating Boredom

I think my little guy is bored. :( Croaker's about 9 inches long- I've had him for maybe 6 weeks now. We've fallen into a schedule that goes a bit like this... 7 AM, I wake up. Sometimes he is out, sometimes not, but I get the light on and he'll soon be out and basking. 7:30-45 Croaker is...

    Croaker's First Head-bobs

So, Croaker's tiny dragon self did his first head-bobbing today (no black throat, though). This, of course, came after he took a crap on my chair. I immediately went to scoop him up to return him to his enclosure, and he jumped out of my hand and head-bobbed. Needless to say, the chain of...

Great Cricket Escape Pt Deux- Need help!

I thought that the rubbermaid tub was escape-proof. I was wrong. I think that they're climbing up the top and through the crack between the tub and the lid. There's no hole- I double and triple-checked. How does everyone keep their feeders from escaping into the house at large? How can I stop...

    Waxworm Addiction Not a Problem

So, last time I bought crickets, I figured I would get Croaker some wax worms as a treat. I figured, "Maybe it'll get him to eat some greens if I mix a few in." He'll not get addicted so long as I'm careful. Well, he ate a couple of them, *maybe& some of the greens, but he certainly didn't start...

    Stress Marks vs Shedding

So, Croaker is a new compatriot, but he's been dark on/off since I got him. He's also started to shed. I know that colors get dull/blurry when shedding, but iguanas don't really have a stress-mark equivilent... so I wonder if stress marks are more likely when they're getting rid of old skin.

    First-time Beardie Owner

Hey! I'm a first-time beardie owner, 15-year iguana veteran (she passed away recently, but lived a good, long iguana life). Anyways, I brought my little bundle of joy home today. I've got a fairly simple set-up, paper towels, a 105 degree basking spot, and about 77 at the cold side of the...
