    Won't eat >anything<! Help!

Update: Still hasn't eaten anything! I think she's about done laying, she layed a coulple odd eggs here and there after I added the laying box, but no more for a couple days. I'm going to clean up her cage, give her a nice long warm bath, and see if she'll eat any squash babyfood. If not I think...

    Won't eat >anything<! Help!

Ah, I see... Any idea when she might start eating again/how long she can go without before it's bad? And maybe things I can do to encourage her appetite? Even turned down waxworms.

    Won't eat >anything<! Help!

My bearded dragon Robert has completely refused all food for around 4 days now. It happened very suddenly, one night she couldn't get enough, the next nothing. She closes her eyes and shakes her head and stress marks if I so much as show her a bug. Other than that she seems mostly normal? Moves...

    Butternut Squash

Another vote for shredding. Shredded squash is the only food Robert will eat right now. *facepalm*

Curious About a Bearded Dragon's Senses?

I thought maybe they did, never seen it confirmed though. I know if Robert wants to get out of my hand while I'm holding him they suddenly become very sharp. Makes it hard to hold on. He scratched me pretty bad once when he got startled by the cats while I was holding him. It surprised me. I...

    Parsnips? Of all things...

Robert's been on a bit of a hunger strike lately, but he still goes nuts for cherries. I think it's because I gave him bits of cherry when he was first settling in. Comfort food.

    can beardies eat honeysuckle???

Just wondering. I googled 'honeysuckle' and got a bunch of pictures of a kind of flower. The plant I've always called 'honeysuckle' is the flower of the red clover, which is harmless. Could be a regional thing, I dunno.

Zilla basic desert kit is it good or bad?

Just an FYI, sometimes hoods come with a plastic or glass cover. Make sure you take that off when you get the repti-sun. It blocks UV rays.

    Caresheet

When's the last time she's shed? If she's due for another soon you might want to note that. Skin peeling off a pet might be alarming for someone who's not used to reptiles. :)

    Pepper's home

Robert loves his bed. One problem... He won't get out in the morning! I have to uncover him and put him on his basking spot. xD Lazy bones.

    Ate a fortune cookie!

Thanks everyone. I was worried about him for a while. (Although he didn't seem too bothered. xD) I did find the fortune, it said 'You will always be surrounded by true friends'. His lucky number is 34. Haha.

    Ate a fortune cookie!

I had Robert on my desk with me. He found a fortune cookie I had sitting on the desk and crunched it up and ate the pieces. I'm concerned it will hurt him. They were pretty big pieces, and he didn't chew very well. They're kind of sharp, too. Is there anything I can do for him? Maybe give him...

    New owner, worried

Just wanted to pop in here and recommend one of these thermometers. http://www.farmandfleet.com/products/353868-digital_thermometer_with_indoor_humidity_display.html?source=googleps Oftentimes the gauge thermometers are inaccurate, these ones are probably the best you can get. They sell them at...

    Beardie traveling in an RV

Never brought him anywhere in a tank, but I bring Robert in the car all the time, and we live on a BUMPY road. He doesn't mind in the least, he loves road-trips. Creamy white belly the whole time, even falls asleep sometimes. Maybe take her for a quick test-ride to see if it frightens her? You...

Needing help in setting up home for "Harry"

How are you transporting him? If in a car, just turning up the heat should be good. They can stand lower temperatures for a while, he should be fine. The above advice is all good. Just wanted to mention to stay away from heat rock and heating pads, (Can cause burns) and 'night time' bulbs. (Can...

What do you use for substrate and basking in your 4x2x2s??

I have as many tiles as will fit, and for the back where they didn't quite fit I have paper towels down. It works really well because he's practically paper-trained and only goes in that corner. For his basking spot I use some tiles stacked for height. I don't need a very high basking spot...
