I use a HerpStat Pro it's probably overkill but I love the simulated sunrise/sunset. It slowly raises the instensity of the bulb to simulate the sunrise/sunset.

Thanks it's a pretty sweet and automated set up. I have the lights set for a simulated sunrise/sunset, LOL. When the lights start to dim (over the course of 5 min's or so) she finds a spot and assumes her sleeping position. :mrgreen:

I stopped using water crystals a few months ago and always made sure there were fresh fruits/vegetables available.

I culled almost 300 just a couple of week's ago, I miscalculated, LOL! Ah well.

Well this evening I separated them into two bins, one breeder bin the other is a feeder bin. Unfortunately because of the egg crates collapsing on top of each other it made it pretty much impossible to pull all the smaller nymphs out so I took alot of the med/large sized nymphs for the feeder...

I don't have a guide for making a large batch, you could try 4 tablespoons to 1-1.5 galons of water and just eyeball it from there. I just make a bunch and if I need more crystals I add a little more or a little more water. I usually just put them in the fridge overnight. With this new test...

I installed http://www.ustream.tv/ which seemed to go quite easy, will test the live feed tomorrow. Just running it off an old laptop running Win XP with an Intel CS120 webcam (like 10 years old? LOL). We'll see how this ends up working out before upgrading the camera, no sense jumping the...

Was thinking about setting up a live webcam feed, just curious to know how many are doing this? Thanks! P.S. Any hints/tips? I got most if not all the hardware already would just need to set up and configure on the software side.

A pic of my colony today, can't even see the egg crates anymore except in a few spots!!!!! Going to have to clean out the bin again!!!! The temps of my bin range from 68-72 degrees (taken with a temp gun) and there are still babies everywhere.
