    sunbeam snake?

its really rare for a sunbeam to eat any kind of rodent. they will usually eat fish (feeder goldfish from a petstore) or newts or some kind of lizard. i am currently taking care of a sunbeam snake. i have had no luck whatsoever when trying to get that thing to eat a rodent.

Moving from 10g to 55g Long

beardies dont live on sand in the wild. which is the most common argument used by people who are against sand. everyone's opinion is valued here! dont feel sorry! :D

Moving from 10g to 55g Long

im sure it is slightly dangerous. and i cant say for 100% sure that it is safe. but... i actually havent seen any kind of literature on reptilite causing impaction on any website or forum yet. i havent had any negative experiences yet either. not to say that its not possible that something bad...

Moving from 10g to 55g Long

im sure it would be safe to mix together. one thing i forgot to mention about the reptilite. always use the neutral colored reptilite if you do use it. the reason is, the colored sand, doesnt matter what kind it is.... will give off a dye color and stain your dragon. it isnt harmful, but the...

Moving from 10g to 55g Long

please dont use crushed walnut, can cause impaction. people say reptilite can cause impaction, but i havent had any negative experiences with it. dont use a product called "calci-sand" ever. i think its made by a company called t-rex or something. play sand from a hard ware store is...

Moving from 10g to 55g Long

yea totally. he's actually being smart in a way, (not wasting energy trying to catch his food. I have no idea if they do that intentionally  ) have you had him long? my beardies did the same thing, and now they go all over the place to get food. like.... jumping about six inches into the...

Moving from 10g to 55g Long

you could move him into a 55 gallon tank as soon as you wanted to. the only thing you would really have to make sure about is him being able to find his food. sometimes when the tank is too big the little guy has trouble finding food. good luck! hes cute!

What do you use to disinfect?

disinfect the tile? maybe this is a dumb question... but why disinfect the tile? unless there is something wrong with ur beardie? i just scrub the tiles off in lukewarm water every week. if there is something wrong, like a parasite or for watever reason, i use a bleach solution diluted in...

    50 gallon rack ideas?

wow... stacking a fifty gallon on top of each other would be pretty hard to do.... in fact i cant think up of ANY way to actually stack them on top of each other. take a look at my pseudo "rack" system. i got those industrial strength shelves from lowes. each shelf can hold like 500 lbs or...

    Petsmart Beardies

im sure all the petsmarts are different, but two of them that ive been to have had absolutely horrible conditions for their beardies. no heat lamp, no uvb bulb, a ten gallon tank with around 14 baby beardies, a couple with mbd, almost all with nipped tails or toes, and most of them looking...

    Phoenix worms

    Beardies and Ferrets

ur ferrets always gonna try to get into the bearded dragon cages. so i would keep an eye on your ferret, since he can do more damage to the lizards than the lizards can do to him. it wouldnt hurt to get some of those clamps that go on the screen top on top of the cages. or wat kind of enclosure...

    this doesn't make me a bad person...right?

i feel really bad for that beardie and all, but i agree with you. buying the beardie from petsmart just means that they're gonna get another one and treat that one just the same. its a never ending cycle. the best thing to do is to is refuse to buy anything from stores that treat their animals...
