Thanks Ian! I plan to toss another 1k mixed dubia in as well in the next couple weeks just for good measure. My dragons are eatin 4-8ea/day @ 8 dragons (2 beardies, 4 frillies) means I need to produce a lot of roaches lol. And I'm a HUGE fan of the hissers!! I started out with 1.2 and 1.1 but...

    Crushed Dog Food for Roaches

I have tested both crushed and whole and they eat both, crushed just seems to disappear faster with the larger crumbs last to go. I'm not sure about a blender but I use a food processor and it does the trick.

    My Roach Colonies (Video)

Instead of taking a bunch of pics I made a quick vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ypXFv7qv1Y I have to move the dubia from the green bin and the hissers from the grey bin into large blue bins like the discoids. That will be done this weekend along with cleaning and maybe some seperating...

    Feeder canadian websites

Oh, why didn't you say that then! I have the secret list of Canadian feeder suppliers in my back pocket. :P Those are the 3 big online, aside from calling small local shops and trying to get them to ship you what you want, thats it. Or order from the states!

    Mold Question

Thanks for the reply Barbara! I'm currently breeding waxworms, mealworms, superworms, crickets, dubia roaches, hisser roaches, and plan to start horns and silks shortly. Both my mealworm and superworm babies tend to gather more where the mold starts to grow, hmmmmm. I'll be honest, I've let some...

    Mold Question

I have a question regarding mold. I'm breeding almost all feeders and an issue that often comes up is mold. Now with silks mold is really really bad. But what about with superworms and soldier grubs (phoenix worms)? The darkling beetle that produces the superworm generally feeds on decaying and...

Ok, so now I feel like a complete *****!! :( Ohhh the irony! I was just checkin the superworm and mealworm bedding and pulled out the carrots to change them. Some of the bran came with it and I noticed what was left behind was moving  I quickly looked at the carrot in hand and it was...

    Worm Breeding Sucess!!

Aside from the heat I'm doin the same thing as you. Welp, I do throw all my mealworm pupae in with the bran and beetles, I only keep my actual mealworms seperate (this is where I pull the pupae from). Here are some pics from last month, I've got a lot more beetles now: I have the meals in the...
