Here is a picture of a female dubia laying an egg sack

Thanks Lance, I didn't think of that (mold on the sponge). However, my husband did do a clever design. He cut a butter dish in half & then made the sponge the exact same size & we saturated it. They can't get into it. So I guess in away this is similar to the cup of water. I am still using...

Aaron, I agree with you. It is a fun challenge. I've had mine for a week now. I am excited too :blob5: That is funny to be excited about roaches in our homes  I just received 200 small ones today as well. Let me know how you make out with yours. Melissa

I don't believe they are at the end of their life cycle. Most that are dying are small to medium size. I have a Flukers digital temp / hydrog. & I also use a probe temp reading (it is a PE2 temp gun). Last night I took my female dragon to the vet since her mouth is still open with her...

Ok. I am having some problems with my roaches. I recently had about 5 or 6 die (not at the same time or day). My temps are in the upper 80's with humidity around 40 to 50. I am using a Sunbeam human heating pad with 3 settings. It is a moist/dry pad. What are some brands of heating...

    HURRY I NEED HELP!!!!!***

Ok. Here's another problem. You said you give him about 6 superworms a day. Has he been going to the bathroom for you. I was giving mine 2 superworms a day & he became impacted (didn't go to the bathroom for almost two weeks). When he finally did go I saw the impaction part. It was very...

    HURRY I NEED HELP!!!!!***

I just had another thought. My moms dog got whip worms & the vet said it came from contaminated dirt. Take him to the vet & have him checked for a parasite. That is the only thing I worry about with my dragon eating our grass. We have dogs that poop in the yard. I clean it up but still...

    HURRY I NEED HELP!!!!!***

I take mine outside & he eats clover & grass & has never gotten sick. Is there a possibility the grass could have fertalizer or chemicals on it? How long have you had him? I really hope he feels better soon. I know the helpless feeling. I've watched 3 geckos waste away. Two died but the...

Here is a picture of a female dubia laying an egg sack

....I am loving Roaches :blob5: . They are way better than crickets. Now I just wish I had a few more smaller size. All of my lizards have now tried a roach & appear to like them. :D I think roaches have a bad reputation. Of course if my house had them running lose I would be freaked out...

Here is a picture of a female dubia laying an egg sack

I have two questions. 1) I have geckos & dragons & I need all different sizes. Is there a fast way to separate out the sizes or do I have to hand pick the ones out that are the size that I need? 2) I have a 30 gallon tote. Is this too large? Maybe this is the reason I can't get my temps...

    Switching to roaches -

I didn't think it was too big for her - no bigger than an adult cricket. I will keep trying. But it was funny because she kept licking & making a bearded dragon face  Like "what the heck is this"? I have 4 geckos & one ate one tonight & was fine. :blob8:

    Switching to roaches -

I just got the Roaches today at a reptile expo. I am feeding them Roach chow & water Crystals. I haven't gone out yet to get an orange but he recommended the same. Well I am going to keep trying because I want to be done with crickets. Also, how do you feed the roaches to your dragon(s)...

    Switching to roaches -

Ijust bought a lot of roaches today. My Beardies were eating crickets & superworms. My male ate one with no problem but my female started crunching down a few times & then spit it back out. Any suggestions? I am assuming she didn't like it. I really want to get away from crickets.

    MBD? Can't be. Any suggestions?

Thanks. I received her from Tamara. Here is her web site. http://www.rainbowbeardeddragons.com/ I was like you in that I was looking for a second one & I wanted her to be different. Tamara has the most beautiful dragons at a reasonable price that I had found when I was searching for Ruby...

Just keep an eye on it. That's how it started for my female who is 1 1/2 years old. I took her to the vet & she has an infection in her mouth & is just coming off her antibiotics. Her mouth is almost shut now. You can view my pictures under "MBD Can't be" its under the Health section. Those...

    poss mbd

My vet did an Xray & could tell right away if it was MBD or not. My BD had an infection in her mouth & her tail was kinked. The Xray showed it was not MBD & that her tail had some sort of trauma to it.

    Help! Beardie really sick?!?!

3+ & 2+ is that years? I just had to take my Beardie to the vet. I didn't want to because of the expense & plus I thought I knew what the problem was (MBD). I was going to just find some liquid calcium & give it to her. As it turns out; I was all wrong. She didn't have MBD nor did she lack...

    **Meal Worm Danger?**

Just an FYI - I had a vet tell me to crush or cut off the heads of the supperworms due to them chewing through the stomach or intestines if the dragon does not crush the heads while eating them. I should have asked her more about this because I always considered it an old wives tale as well. I...

not a beardie but urgent leopard gecko

Back from the vet. Turns out she has tonsilities. She has a yellow discoloration around her gums & her glands are swollen. The vet did an xray of her & turns out the kinks in her tail are from some sort of trauma & not MBD. She is now on an antibiotic & pain meds. You should take yours to a...
