    Sunken fat pads.

    So my little girl has been on baby food mixture for the past month or so and is bathed about once every 3 days. After seeing a few posts regarding the fat pads on the head i inspected hers. They seem to be sunken, unlike my male who eats crickets and is bathed the same amount. This doesnt really...

    im i feeding to much to litle or just riet

    Im at a loss for words... If you cant afford a UVB light or the food he needs i would suggest you find someone who can. Your dragon WILL DIE or be very unhealthy unless you provide a uvb light (note the lights need to be replaced every 6 months). Your dragon will also not grow with such low...

    MVB QUESTIONS

    If you are concerned about having enough light i would also suggest getting a 5000k+ household bulb aswell for 2 reasons. A) i find in my enclosure, even with a 4ft double florescent fixture housing 2x5000k t12 bulbs AND a Mega-Ray 100watt SB the cool side tends to be a little dark. So another...

    Lighting - T-Rex Active UV Heat - 100 Watt Flood - Initial B

    My best guess is that the ventilation is lacking in the enclosure. Did you build it yourself? do you have vents on the sides and the back? I know when my temps get a little warm all i have to do is slide the doors open a half inch on either side and my temps adjust quite a bit. I use a melamine...

    Need enclosure advice

    Yea building really is the way to go. I just completed a 2x2x4 enclosure about a month ago. I have no regrets what-so-ever. I used melamine for all my walls other than the front of course, which is sliding glass doors. I have heard of people using wood before but it is important to seal it and...

    Beginner help

    Sj45 for a dragon that young he should be eating about 5x that many... The general rule for feeding is as many as they can eat and a 15 minute period 3 times a day (be prepared, they eat ALOT when they are young and it can get expensive). The first meal of every day should be dusted with...

    wat u think

    Just keep in mind that at these dimensions it will not fit through doors. Best bet is to keep atleast one dimension at ~24" and since beardies dont need alot of height i would say that would be the best choice. Otherwise you will have to build it in the room that it is to be put in.

    Rockwall completed

    Hmmm i hear of everyone using this Mod Podge but i have yet to track some down in Canada. I assume you live in the states, wondering what our equivalant would be, or what my other options are. What kinda store do you buy this stuff at? I have checked Home Depot here and i cant find anything...

    Not eating, Not doing anything. Halp ;-;

    Supers as a staple is a good thought as long as the dragon is over 16 inches. In this case the dragon is 6 months old, 16 inches would be rather large at 6 months i would think. It would probably work ok, however there is an impaction risk at anything below 16 inches. To me personally it just...

    Not eating, Not doing anything. Halp ;-;

    Oh Sara i was not attempting to be argumentative either. Every dragon is of course different, but the general consensus is that juvies are better off between 105-110 so far as i have read. Adjustment can definetly be made on an individual basis of course. Im sorry if i came across more...

    Not eating, Not doing anything. Halp ;-;

    First of all 109 is perfect for a dragon of his age (105-110 for juvies). It is not until they are adults that the temps need to be lowered to 100-105. The real questing is when is the last time he has had calcium??? Where in Canada do you live that doesnt have a pet store? im in ontario and...

    beardie measurements w/o tail

    That's what I'm saying. The point is that people gauge where there dragon is at growth wise on snout to tail tip. There is a general guide as to if your dragon is on track based on snout to tip, but not snout to vent. I am requesting that there be a snout to vent scale posted so that we with...

    beardie measurements w/o tail

    I would love to see a scale of where they should be length wise from snout to vent. A lot of us have dragons with nips and its tough to tell if they are on track. Example, my 5 month old male is exactly 12" now, but he has a nip, im not sure how bad of a nip it is at this point. So is he 12" or...

    Not sure what to call this title...

    Vael will poop every time within 2 minutes of him hitting the warm water. Even if he just pooped in the viv 2 minutes earlier. Emmy on the other hand just tries to swim out. Then again, she never makes anything easy for me, even bath time. :banghead:

    The saga of Emmy continues... *sigh* *pics added

    She gets calcium everyday in her baby food. I put a bunch of stuff in the tank for her to climb. I always knew she could, but alas im making no head way with getting her to eat real food. I went to the pet store the other day and got her 10 small silks and 10 butters (and 5 horns for my male)...

    The side under the heat lamp and the far side are both in the low 80s. The problem is she never thermo regulates anyway, she just basks. I did try adding a climbing point to get her closer to the smaller light (40 watt house bulb) it only reaches 90ish and when the log is in the tank she just...

    Lol thanks for the reply. I had a stuffed animal in there but the crickets were all hiding behind it, and she did even seem to notice it. All she does is bask with her mouth open almost all day, takes breaks once in a while to wander a foot away and then plunk her arse down and open her mouth...

    Ok so i got the pictures taken. As for her weight i dont have a scale that will measure that low, i might go pick one up though. To answer the husbandry question: UVB - Repti-Sun 10.0 (1 month old) Temps taken with a thermometer with probe - Basking: 103 to 112, cool side: 79 to 85 (temps...
