I reside in Florida. Winters aren't harsh but can get pretty chilly for beardies. My room isn't well insulated and really neither is the house. So I was thinking of making Thanatos a sweater out of fleecy material so he can still run around happily, and not freeze to death! I just want to know...

I wish mine would go in the tub! he poops alot (alot more than I thought he would because of all the articles about impaction). He gets it on everything and today he went in his bowl after he ate o.O can we say eeeeewwwwwwww? :shock:

LMAO! I'm a first time beardie owner and you know what?! They spoil so easily! Mine is a brat like that too. he's onlly eat some stuff like squash only if i take a bite first! and raw squash is gross. :|

She's adorable! Mine won't even touch squash! won't hiss just won't eat the darn things >.< I do wish you the best of luck with her though. And I'm sorry that your first one passed away!

That's funny! ^.^ (on all of it) I didn't realize how picky of an eater they really could be. Thanatos won't eat spaghetti squash or any fruit. but he'll inhale anything green. :) And he really really really likes superworms.

The guy I got him from said he's at least a year old his basking will get close to 98. I want to get it to go higher though. :/ he went to the bathroom again though and it looked normal. But now he's staying to the cool side of his tank almost all day. o.O not sure why other than i keep a bowl...

Even though \\primo still young I'd get a bigger tank and at least a 60 watt bulb to do the trick, also in the enclosure threads you'll find alot of good ideas to make a tank by yourself! :)

I have all the temps in Thanatos' cage right, at least I think I do. I only feed him when it's near 95 degees.... And yet the poop I cleaned today only looked partially digested. Like (i know this may be gross) but I could see the exoskeletons of his superworms, and his kale greens in his poop...

Hi there! I got alot of mixed too but I have my basking at like 97-98 and the cool; at like low to mid 80s (83-85). Howver it at least has to be hot enough foe you're beardie to digest ^.^ so you're tank should reach 95 degrees at some point during the day. I generally feed mine near this time.

I just thought you should know that you are amazing and I'm so glad that you decided to take care of her. All too often I see kids who obtain pets that especailly need proper care, and don't get it from them. So glad you do have a big big heart! ^.^ Athena is in a good home!
