Where is the strangest place you've ever taken your beardie?

I live in MN, so we can only have our beardies outside about three months out of the year!! :angry5: I've taken Phoenix to the pet store, and on many car rides, she loves to sit on my shoulder and look out the window! I was in the hospitol for the last three months due to the swine flu and bad...

    Weird beardie day!

Thanks for the posts! Granpa Dragon is actually only 6yrs old. We call him granpa because he is very crotchety at times, and acts like a crabby old man. I laughed pretty hard when I walked in and he was hiding his face! He's never done that before! Usually he trys not to poo in his viv, and...

    Weird beardie day!

My bearded dragons were weirdos today. I caught them both on film. This is a picture of The first thing I saw when I woke up this morning! : Phoenix was eye-bulging because her face is starting to shed. Good morning to you too! Later that day I took a picture of Grandpa dragon at his...

    People Are So Weird

She unfortunately has and trust me her children are just as special as she is! My 2 beardies were cruzin' the backyard awhile back, and she came out with her daughter to lay in the sun, and when they saw my darlings, they asked me if it was safe for them to be outside while my beardies...

    help please

Thankslittle foot, but I took him to the vet already. He had a sperm plug blocking his vent. I soaked him every night for 3 nights and that took care of it. I appreciate the bump though!

    People Are So Weird

I toatally know how you feel. Everytime I mention to my neighbor that I'm not feeling 100% that day, she says it's probubly because of all my "freaky lizards". I just roll my eyes and say yeah it's scaleitis, better not get too close! She doesn't! :banghead:

    My day with Phoenix

I just tried the "iguana" harness. So far I really like it. The only problemis that it is hard to buckle if you have a squirmy beardie. Here is the harness: I only paid $5.00 for it and Phoenix doesn't seem to mind it at all! :blob5: :blob8: I think I will see if Grandpa Dragon likes it...

It's okay! Phoenix appreciates all of your ideas, I just bought an iguana leash and will try it later. If that doesn't work I'll try the kitten one. Thanks guys!

Females outside viv's around each other?

I think if you introduce them slowly, and pay constent attention to them, it would be fine. Don't leave them alone together. Two females should be okay, as long as they are supervised very closely. I wouldn't feed them together, and it may be a good idea to have two seperate basking spots for...

    Glass dancing, quite often.

Your temps are fine if you are using a digital thermometer w/a probe or a temp gun. I would seriously consider getting a tube light like repti-sun 10.0, or a megaray. The coil lights are very dangerous, and have caused serious health problems. When a beardie glass dances it usually means they...

    My day with Phoenix

Thanks! When she made that scary face I was laughing so hard I could hardly take the picture! But than I felt guilt and had to say soothing things to her, to make up for laghing at her. I had a lot of fun taking the pictures and hanging around with her all day. I'm sure she didn't think it was...

    A photobiography of my beardie.

The floatation device thing scared me when Phoenix first did it, I thought she was in pain!! Now I know it's normal. I've noticed that they also blow themseleves up when they are preparing to leap off something. Maybe it gives them a softer landing or slows them down or something?!

    Trouble with greens

Normal :D Almost all young beardies reject their greens until they are older. Mine were awful! I finally got them to eat some by putting silkworms in with the greens. The silkworms stuck to the leaves and my beardie was forced to take bits of greens into his mouth along with the worms...

New baby should be here tomorrow

Congrats on your new beardie! Correct, you definately want a repti-sun 10.0. Crickets or phoenix worms are the best thing for you to feed your baby. A general rule to remember is not to feed your beardie anything larger than the space between its eyes! If the dubias are small enough you should...
