Well, right now he is under his hammock. Since I have put a blanket on his hammock he seems to love to go underneath it. Despite his hammock being on the cooler side. He is not very active in his enclosure but he gets a lot more active if I put him in the sun. He usually eats his salad every day...
This week I haven’t given him insects but I will soon. He eats wood roaches that I breed. I only sometimes give him supplements but he usually won’t touch his salad if I do. Thanks for your help.
Just wondering if you have been taking him out of his enclosure. He is probably stressed. Maybe if you take him out more he will start to stop scratching. For the walls, you could put climbable walls on your walls as your bearded dragon can’t scratch his enclosure walls. Something sort of like...
What luck that your partner caught it 🍀
Yes, betadine and bactroban a suitable alternatives. She is a tough cookie! Wishing all the best for the vet appointment 💝
Hope Pogo finds a forever home! 💝 The seven years of his life he would have enjoyed so much with you. If you want to you could put flyers in the nearest exotic vets or pet stores or any lizard-related place. He looks so cute in his Santa costume! Wishing all the best
Your beardie is very lucky it didn’t cause severe damage. Clean the wound with copious amounts of warm water (if you have antibacterial soap make the water soapy with it). You can apply a light layer of honey or petroleum jelly. Make sure you leave the wound uncovered as if you try to wrap it...
Yes it was around 31 degrees Celsius outside. When I looked at the poop it looked pretty red to me. He has a https://www.petcircle.com.au/product/exo-terra-reptile-uvb150-desert-bulb/rp143 which I change every six months. I have heard that coils are no good but only coils fit in the screw. I...
As suggested, I took my bearded dragon out in the sun for a while. The sun perked him up! So he ended up doing a pretty big poop. However, it was liquid and had the piece of red in it again. I am deeply concerned about this ongoing poop problem. According to my sister, his poop stank but I...
In the bath I poured water on his nose which he did lick off. I never knew that but I will definitely stop. Ok I will adjust his schedule. Thanks for your help. Any other advice?
I just gave him a bath yesterday and today so that would have given him some water and I have misted him. Sometimes I mix water and calcium together and give it to him using a syringe. I doubt the cause is too much calcium. Is there anything else you would recommend?
By the way when I was feeding him roaches he had to keep on chewing it for longer than he usually has to. When I gave him his first roach his beard twitched.
Yes he does eat his salad. I give him a calcium supplement from Pisces but it doesn’t have vitamin D3. I was thinking of buying him this https://www.petcircle.com.au/product/exo-terra-supplement-electrolyte-vitamin-d3/rp276. Thanks
