Yellow tip urate, too much calcium or bee pollen?

Hi! Yes it did, he doesn't have the yellow tip anymore and now I give him less calcium. Sometimes the urate tip will be a pale yellow but according to my vet that is fine, it's the same "texture" as the rest of the urate, not like the one in this photo as the yellow tip was a little harder.

My bearded dragon tail has turned red and I'm not sure what happened. It's been a little over a week now. What should i do, i took him to vet. Nothin

Hi, can you provide pictures of your beardie's tail, and possibly your enclosure with temp and lighting info? I'm sorry I won't be of much help but there are other users on here who would be of great help so thought I'd get the ball rolling.

    Rankins Dragons

You definitely wouldn't be judged. I also have a beardie that is rare outside of Western Australia; a pogona minor minor (they are also very small) and everyone here has always kindly helped me and given such great advice. I'm sure you will enjoy your time here 😊 Also is it true that Rankins...

    Silkworm Eggs

Feed what? Moths don't eat, they lay eggs/mate and then pass away. They last for about a week The silkworms can eat chow but if they were raised on mulberry leaves first then it's highly likely they won't switch to chow. 😊

    Silkworm Eggs

You don't need to remove it. I just leave it and cut around. If you try moving it you risk damaging the eggs 😣

Would like to know more about signs of illness

Yup he did have coccidia before and we had a talk about that and he has now been cleared of it... but now that I'm thinking about it when he was positive for coccidia he never displayed signs of parasites or illness, he seemed as happy as can be, being very active lil boy so I was a bit...

Oh yes that's what we used! It didn't work though as he still had them in the next faecal

Would like to know more about signs of illness

Ah yes I've heard of that, that beardies naturally have low counts of coccidia and as long that it doesn't get too out of hand where it causes illness then you should leave it alone? Yes they specialise in exotic vets (they even have a docuseries about their vet and the patients they see...

Would like to know more about signs of illness

Hi Tracie! Thank you! He's doing very well, I just love seeing him always exploring his enclosure although sometimes he can get a bit loud with his shenanigans but as long as he is happy then he can do whatever 😅 OK, that's very reassuring to know. Thank you for your help! 😊

Would like to know more about signs of illness

Ah OK I see, I do weigh him weekly and try my best to take note of his behaviour, and there's no glaring problems there. And yes, with your help and other users on here I was able to have correct basking temps and UVB long ago. Thank you!

Would like to know more about signs of illness

Hi all, I've just been wondering if a bearded dragon DOES NOT show any signs of illness as in - no change to behaviour, bowel movement, etc - no visible injury - no stress marks / black beard Can they still be hurting internally? Like... say that a dragon has minor MBD and is getting worse...

Does my beardie have sunken fat pads?

Wow thank you so much for all the advice! He was being treated for coccidia and when I gave my vet his poop to get a recheck he got cleared for coccidia (YAY) but they found that he had a nemotid parasite but not sure which so we're currentlt trying to clear that out now. No idea how he got it...

Does my beardie have sunken fat pads?

Thank you! If I take the egg cartes out there'll only be paper towel and his hide...is that OK? It seems a bit too boring hahah. Yes, I've been disinfecting and changing paper towels. Lights and heat haven't changed so we're good on that. Thanks so much :)

Does my beardie have sunken fat pads?

Hi all, Everytime I visit my exotix vet he always says that Ted is in great health for the general health check (but then sometimes he has parasites with Ted being completely asymptomatic). I frequent a FB group and long story short some say mine has sunken fat pads and needs to see vet...

Vet asks to consider experimental drug. Hoping to find experiences or opinions.

I've tried that and also other non loose substrate options and even added a dig box but I think he didn't like it because he became lethargic and always had stress lines on him. When I switched it back,I kid you not, he was like a different beardie. Zooming around, climbing, jumping, digging...

Vet asks to consider experimental drug. Hoping to find experiences or opinions.

Oh ok! I always want to be extra thorough since he has adenovirus and want him to feel like he's in the best shape he can be. I'll have to have a long discussion with my vet tomorrow about what other things I can do. Thank you for your replies, they were pretty helpful and I'm sure if someone...

Vet asks to consider experimental drug. Hoping to find experiences or opinions.

I've bought a few things from Tracie's website, but not the actual medication for parasites. I am planning on buying it at the vet tomorrow. Do you mean wouldn't use sand at all? Or when he has coccidia? Because I do remove the sand when he has coccidia and replace with paper towels. But he...
