There does not appear to be any stitches. He is already eating very well. They did sedate him. I asked the same question prior and the vet said that it would be inhumane to operate without sedation.

Omg thank you! Yes I was told he weighs 8 grams, I can double-check with the vet today but that was the weight we were told. The cipro was constituted at 15mg/ml and the instructions call for 2IU every 48 hours, which (I believe?) comes to 3mg. I'll hold off, until you suggest correct dosage...

Our baby beardie received an amputation this evening, and the doctor prescribed an 8 day course of Cipro. Beardie weighs 8 grams, is this safe? Anyone with experience or information on providing such a small beardie Cipro? Thank you in for your help!

Thank you for your response @AHBD! We've replaced the original lights that came with the dual domes, both were upgraded (75w → 100w basking bulb, 13w → 26w UVB). We have an Arcadia 12% that'll be used on his 'permanent' tank which arrives in a week or two. I appreciate your help, we'll keep...
