Thinking about getting a Leo (or more)!

I'm so sorry! I didn't see this reply. Turns out, after sexing the Leo's, I have two males. I was supposed to get two females, but they were too young to be sure upon arrival. They are all in separate tanks now, very minimal, unfortunately. I plan on making some decor using popsicle sticks...

Thinking about getting a Leo (or more)!

Hey there! No biggie! I actually did end up getting some leopard geckos. They are growing nicely as well! I decided it wasn't worth the chance of overbreeding so I cohabbed the females and separated the male. They don't like me much yet, but are slowly letting me handle them more and more...

    New Dubia Colony Chow

Hey, guys! I'm back again asking for some help. While my mom was out at the store (I'm rarely able to get out), I asked her to pick up some calcium with D3 to mix into my roach chow to ensure they have a good gut load. However, due to some miscommunication and delay in the picture messages...

Horribly smelling poos - and pooing just the white stuff!!

Just a heads up as well, I didn't see it mentioned earlier (If it was mentioned, my bad!), but UVB bulbs need to be changed about every 6 months. They light will stay the same overall, but the amount of UVB radiation can degrade. Just thought I'd mention that since it sounds like 6 months is...

    Stomach tumor... GNT??

I just came to check in and saw those photos! I can't get over the one of Taro lying, not on, but THROUGH her rock. That one gave me a good chuckle. :) You are still in my thoughts and I hope things continue to progress positively. I hope she enjoys and does well with the solid foods!

    Hey there!

Hi! Thank you very much! He's my buddy for sure, and he's sure enjoying the extra time out of his viv!

    Stomach tumor... GNT??

That sounds like fantastic news! I'd say to keep a good tab on her weight over time, that way you know she's getting enough to regain or in the least, not lose anymore. Keep up the good work and the updates! I'm anxious to hear when Taro is back up to full speed! :)

    Hey there!

Hey, guys! I'm not really a new member, I've been around here for about a year, but haven't really been active. Anyways, I'd like to be a little more active. I can't offer true expert advice like the names we all know and appreciate for being around, but I love learning about other beardies...

    Stomach tumor... GNT??

Hey, there! I ended up reading this thread from beginning to end and just felt compelled to tell you how sorry I am that you and Taro have had to go through all of this! What a roller coaster. I can't offer advice like the others can, but I want to let you know that you all are in my thoughts...

SPAZZING OUT SND THEN COMPLETELY STILL PLEASE HELPE

I don't disagree with this, but I do want to add if you feed her from your hand, be careful. My beardie is not a picky eater and he will go at whatever he is eating with the ferocity of a hurricane! Only time he's ever bitten me hard was when I had a small green sitting on my fingers; needless...

SPAZZING OUT SND THEN COMPLETELY STILL PLEASE HELPE

When caring for my bearded dragon I sometimes look at how I would react in the same situation. Falling from a high place, being chased (by a giant) and pulled from what I see has a safe place (the dresser), and carried somewhere else might freak me out as well! I'm sure I'd just want to chill...

SPAZZING OUT SND THEN COMPLETELY STILL PLEASE HELPE

In that case, I would take AHBD's advice. Just let her calm down, maybe leave her be for a while and be sure she's getting enough UVB. Beardies need plenty of it to help process calcium and plenty of it. The UVA/Basking bulbs help them digest food and remain energetic and healthy, which means...

SPAZZING OUT SND THEN COMPLETELY STILL PLEASE HELPE

Hey, there! I'm sorry to hear about your beardies issues! I'm not the most experienced owner on the forum, but I'm sure some of the the first things we're going to as are some of the specs on the enclosure. How old is your beardie? Is your sister around often to handle her or is she new...

    Freeze dried crickets plus what?

Thank you, Karrie! I have some BSFL on the way! I'm going to give them a shot, but seeing as Smaug doesn't seem to be a picky eater, I don't think we'll have a problem. I think once I'm able to get stocked back on dubias, I'm going to try and get a breeder colony going. Thanks again! :D
