    Is my beardie growing?

In March I adopted my first bearded dragon (yes first, I now have 2!) When I adopted him he presented externally as a she and was small. He was about 18 months old when I adopted him. The previous owners had Orion with another male in the same cage for a long time and then side by side in...

    Sharing home kinda....

Thank you! That's kinda what I thought. I just hate to see the baby squished. It's not tame enough yet to get much outside time.

    Sharing home kinda....

We just got our second beardie yesterday. A beautiful red baby. I have 2 complete set ups for my beardies, but there is a small problem. One of the setups is in my classroom at school. Orion (the dragon formally known as Rosalin until he showed his true self) travels to and from my classroom...

    Is this normal poop?

I have a female beardie who is supposedly 19 or 20 months old. I adopted her in March and she is doing great. She's eating well with a mixture of mostly greens, a few veggies, the occasional fruit and dubias every few days. She has a t10 bulb in her cage the right distance from her basking spot...

    Quick fix for one night.

So I need some advice. My house is going to be abnormally cold tonight. I usually keep it at 67 over night, but for the evening I need to keep my windows and doors open to air out my house (10 year old trying to cook...) Would it be overly disturbing to turn on a red heat lamp for one night or...

    Changing lights

She's in an xterra xlarge tank 36 x 18 x 24 I believe. I'm going to try to get her a larger tank eventually, but she gets at least an hour of outside the tank on a leash time most days. I'll change the light out just to be safe. Too bad someone doesn't make a bulb with a uv meter.

    Changing lights

Just got home to check the light. Here's a picture of what is in the bulb. This was what was in her set up when I got her. The previous owners also gave me a reptisun t10 bulb. She was forced to stay up an extra 30 minutes last night to digest. I assume she's healthy overall. She's active and...

    Changing lights

Her basking spot is 100. She seems to like it that hot as she will usually turn darker while basking. Her cool side is low 70s. She doesn't have a salad this morning as she ate 8 roaches in 5 minutes last night. Usually after a feast like that she skips a day of food when offered.

    Changing lights

So I'm still a newbie, but loving having a beardie. I adopted an adult and she came with a full set up. It wasn't until a few days later I learned about changing the light every 6 months so I didn't ask when it was changed last. Will I be able to tell when to change it? Will it burn out or be...

    Beardie in the classroom

I've had my girl for almost 2 weeks. She's 18 months old and starting to eat better again after relocation atress. She's amazing and starting to adjust and seems to enjoy being with us. I was wondering if I could take her to my classroom next year. Bearded dragons are listed as one of the top...

New dragon momma and changes in appetite

Here's her home. I plan on changing her background soon. Since it's spring break here she's spending lots of time out of her home.

New dragon momma and changes in appetite

Hello, I just became a bearded dragon owner 8 days ago. I am totally in love with our little girl. She is about 18 months old and in a xterra XL front door cage. Her basking spot is at 100 and her cool in is 72. She has a UVB 10.0 right inside of her enclosure. The first few days that we had her...
