Bearded Dragon not eating ANYTHING nor pooping.

UPDATE: 9/18/2019 Hey ya'll! It's been a few days, and he started eating crickets again (roughly 30+ every 4th day or so) Also, found out that he drank water if I fed him with a syringe. Still hasn't eaten his greens (collard greens and squash) nor taken to the vet because of recent weather...

Bearded Dragon not eating ANYTHING nor pooping.

Sadly, when I had paid my friend to take care of him, he wasn't really taken care of that well. I only had that analog for around 2 weeks. I then switched to a proper humidity gauge and a temp gun. Sometimes i catch him basking, but most of the time he is in his cave or just lying around. He...

Bearded Dragon not eating ANYTHING nor pooping.

Hey ya'll! It's been quite some time since I posted on the forums since I just got busy with life after everything was settled for my baby dragon. Ekko is roughly 10 months old now, and a month ago till now I encountered a problem. After coming back from a week long vacation from Cancun, Ekko...

Bearded dragon prefers crickets over dubia roaches. Why?

Only recently has this situation occurred. I've been conducting tests and my dragon wont even bat an eye at a dubia roach anymore. When I put a cricket, he locks on like a homing missile and eats it as if it were his last meal. He used to like roaches like any other dragon, but now he doesn't...

What time does yours go potty?

Mine goes from 5-6pm after hes done basking from his meal at 3pm. I let him run around for a bit then he just does his job on the floor. I clean the feces and clear any other residue with clorox and paper towels.

Question on Dubias and beardie tood

I usually feed my dubias cut carrots. They're literally just thrown to where the most dubias are. I heard potatoes were also pretty well since both carrots and potatoes don't tend to spoil as easily as greens. The feed I give is usually refilled every 2-3 days. Regarding enclosures for them...

Question on Dubias and beardie tood

Personally, I love buying my roaches from Amazon since you can get 500 small roaches for only $17-22! I'm pretty sure that most of their sellers have free shipping, since my past few had free shipping which lasts for around a week. Roaches live for about 16 months from what i've read. Gut...

Apologies on false information. Thought I had done enough research on lighting but good thing for clarification now. Thanks :P

New and in Need of Advice

Just a question: How large are the roaches that you order and how much are they? I found an amazing deal on amazon that has not only free shipping, but sells 500 dubia roaches for only $17-22!

You being able to care for him and worry for his needs are exactly the things to give your beardie a happy life! If the temperature gauge is digital with a probe, theres no need in switching it out. Since im guessing yours is analog, youre heading to the right direction!

    Baby Beardie Not Eating Protein

Try feeding the crickets outside of the enclosure. Some beardies don't like food jumping around in their homes. You can also try hand feeding (if you're comfortable :P) to get your beardie more comfortable with you and its food. How long have you had the baby? Beardies recently relocated may or...

New and in Need of Advice

Wait I'm not getting your lighting set up. If i'm reading correctly, you have a 'bulb' and a ceramic heater? Beardie lighting has 2 requirements: a BASKING LIGHT and a UVB TUBE. A basking light allows your dragon to not only stimulate digestion in his food but make him active. UVB helps your...

    lighting concern

Nope. A T5 5.0 doesn't give as much UVB as required by your beardie. A T8 10.0 is highly recommended for your dragon's UVB supply.

    Hood for tube uvb

You can connect the negative and positive cords to the tubing (i think thats how it works) and just stick your UVB tube to the back near the ceiling.
