Ok! I'm at a loss here. everytime I pick him up he tries to jump out of my hands, and sometimes succeeds. It is almost impossible to even get him in a beardie burrito. I'm really scared that if I pick him up and he manages to jump, he's going to get hurt. Please help! he's still trying to bite...

Please do not go with crushed walnut shells!!! Do a search on this forum for that and you'll see all the reasons why. In general very, very bad! Causes impaction and can tear the intestinal lining.

Yeah, a 40 gl breeder is basically the minimum size for an adult beardie. Obviously bigger would be better but not nescessary.

I was just wondering what the most expensive vet visit anyone's experienced? I would just like to know so I can times that by four and put that much into savings. Just in case, God forbid, any of my pets need an expensive operation or other health care, it won't be delayed or entirely put off...

LOL, I just bought a house and each of my two dragons have there own room, my hedgehog owns the front room, and of course, my Daschund puppy has the run of the entire rest of the house. He's not really let in Spike's or Gir's room, but he stay's away from our hedgehog, Shadow, on his own :lol:

That's pretty much what they do LOL :D , my juvie only really moves when he's on the hunt! other than that he just lays there until you take him out and let him explore the house.

It would actually be better to turn that coil light off until you get the tube. It can seriously damage their eyes. As far as a heat lamp goes, you can actually just use a regular household bulb, just make sure you keep an eye on the temps to make sure the wattage is sufficient. And yes! Pheonix...

Well, I recently switched to roaches, and I couldn't be happier! They are definitely a little gross and take some getting used to, but they are so much better than crickets. No more chirping, they don't smell and they are easier for both my guys to catch. I probably have more crickets roaming...
