    Dragon sudden death.

Sand is a breeding ground for bacteria, costs a lot, and it can cause impaction and can cause infection in the cloaca. Calcisand is even worse than regular sand. It can dye your dragons colors and does nothing good for them. [even though the package says it's "good" for them] But it shouldn't...

    What can cause this?

Is it an infection though? That's what I am wondering D:

    What can cause this?

So I just moved to Colorado and the only thing I have to keep my apartment cool is a swamp cooler, which increases humidity like crazy. Humidity is standing around 60%! All my other reptiles and arachnids are enjoying this, however, Tiberius is not. I noticed my beardie has a droopy/swollen eye...

    Very loose, smelly poops.

She's also SUPER PICKY about her greens and picks the things she wants out of the bowl. I bought a food processor to chop the salad up a little more so she can't be so picky. Should I maybe add a teeny bit of calcium or multivitamin powder to her salad when I make it?

Would a big basking/flood light from walmart or ace hardware work? Small town, no lowes/home depot here. Questions are great! It's all fine. She just kind of... walks weird... I can try to get a video of it tomorrow. It's sort of like a limp, but the limp is on both sides? It's more of a...

    Very loose, smelly poops.

Another thing, she never holds herself up like a normal beardie, like this. And her walk has an odd gait to it. She gets calcium dusted insects and I dust her food sometimes. She always holds herself like this Her colors are also like this right after getting insects or while sleeping...

Yeah, and the other vet had the audacity to charge me for the test they never gave me the results on! The temp gun has a laser sight. I take the temps between a foot and 6 inches away. I moved a few things around so she's a little closer to the heat. What brand bulb would you recommend? I've...

    Very loose, smelly poops.

Ah, sorry, I heat her with a 100W Ceramic Heat Emitter. Basking spot varies in the 95-97 range because then she actively avoids it and stays on the other side of the cage if it's any higher. I'm using a RYOBI Digital Temperature Gun. I have had two tests done. One said no parasites and the...

    Depressed Beardie?

She has always been on a CHE. The only thing that I can tell that changed how she was acting was the sand being removed. Before it was removed, she was active. Why would she need a white basking light if she already has her UVB that gives off a white light? That makes pretty much zero sense? [to...

    Depressed Beardie?

I use a Ceramic Heat Emitter. Basking spot runs around 88-90F because she'll keep away from it or constantly gape if it's higher than that. Cool side is around 78-80F. I'm thinking about doing a dig box but the last time I did it she never wanted to leave the stupid thing.

    Depressed Beardie?

So, ever since I moved my adult female beardie off sand, she has been sort of depressed. On sand, she was everywhere, excited for her breakfast every morning and moving around and generally doing things a healthy beardie would be doing. Now she is off sand and has been for about a year and a...

    UVB Flickering?

Oop. It stopped strobing. I guess it just needed a little time?

    UVB Flickering?

I just got a new Reptisun 10.0 from Petco because it was on sale. I plug it in and it works just fine. However, after about 15 minutes it "flickers". Not on and off, but almost a strobe effect? My other tubes have not done this. Does this mean it is bad?

    Kat's kids!

Hey there, you guys can just call me Kat. c: I have a lot of photos for you all and some of them include snakes and other reptiles! But mostly photos of my bearded dragon, Tiberius. Tiberius is a LADY dragon, which I did not know until earlier this year and I've already had her for two years...
