    Problem with his eye?

We ordered the bulbs in March or April, but have only been using them for about two weeks due to moving. He had a basking temp of 105 and the cool side was 80-82 degrees. He usually spends almost all his time in his tree, basking.

    Problem with his eye?

Hmmm. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing? I took a picture of what I was looking at so you can tell me if I'm reading it wrong/looking in the wrong place. When I raise the bulb, I think the temps won't quite reach 105-110. I know it used to be ok to use a low watt heat bulb in conjuction...

    Problem with his eye?

I didn't know there were any problems with the MegaRays; I'll go ahead and read that then. The bulbs all say BJ next to the logo. I am indeed using the 100 watt, so it sounds like it's too close. He's not basking quite as often as normal, but he still does bask under it on his own. Should I...

    Problem with his eye?

That's ok, thanks for trying :) I haven't seen any kind of discharge and he isn't shedding by his eyes either. I hope it isn't an infection-I don't know how he would've gotten one.

    Problem with his eye?

No, I'm using a new MegaRay MVB bulb. He has never had coiled UVB lights; before we started using MegaRay (about a year and a half ago) we always had ReptiSun 10.0 tubes.

    Problem with his eye?

No, I always make sure it is completely dark and silent in the lizard room and that the lights are off for about 12 hours every night.

    Problem with his eye?

Over the past few days I've noticed one of my beardies, Baby, has been keeping one of his eyes mostly or all the way closed, although sometimes he will do it with both. I'm worried that he may have somehow scratched it or maybe gotten dust or something into it, but I can't see anything when he...

    Thrown up crickets.

He did pretty well. He ended up eating some greens, 26 crickets, and 6 small pieces of squash. I didn't think it was unusual either, actually he usually eats more. I'm hoping it's just a one time thing, but I'm keeping a close eye on him. He has kept down what he ate yesterday. No, he didn't...

    Thrown up crickets.

I wasn't really counting them closely, but I'd say it was in the 30-40 range. I usually feed him crickets or baby dubias twice per day, and offer greens inbetween, which he loves. He didn't eat anything yesterday, and was not interested in any crickets when I offered him some today. I will try...

    Thrown up crickets.

Hello, I just went and checked on my youngest beardie Bronto, and saw regurgitated/thrown up balls of cricket parts littered about part of the enclosure. Obviously that isn't good, but what's confusing me is he hasn't eaten crickets since yesterday, and this morning he had a well formed bowel...

12 Week Old Beardie Seriously Ill!

K9KidsLove: Hi, thank you for the website, I will check there and see if I can find another good vet. Drache613: Yes, I have a hygrometer that I use for my snakes. I can use that one to check the humidity in his enclosure. I will move the water dish over onto the warm side of the tank and put...

12 Week Old Beardie Seriously Ill!

Hi, I am not sure of the exact humidity; I know it's pretty low. There is a small and very shallow water dish on the cool side of the tank that does provide some humidity, and he is able to drink/soak on his own if he wants. I measure the temps with a temp-gun. The cool side temps are 82, hot...

12 Week Old Beardie Seriously Ill!

I have a 12 week old bearded dragon who is displaying some very concerning symptoms. Some of them make me think of MBD, but he seems to have gotten whatever he has very fast, and he gets RepCal+D3 and has a few week old ReptiSun 10.0 tube light over his cage as well as a white heat bulb. I...
