Glad to hear that the new enclosure seems to be a hit! I'm sure as he gets more comfortable his appetite will increase even more. :) As for the Reptisun, they can be expensive depending on where you get them. Fortunately, my Petco has them for about $30. However, since you are in Canada...

    meet Gustavo Fring

Hi there! I am by far not the most experienced person out there but I'll give this a start and I'm sure the more experienced people will chime in. I have two beardies, one is an adult rescue and the other a baby purchased from a breeder. My adult rescue was actually quite aggressive when I...

    Breeders in Georgia?

Agree on the show being a good place to pick up supplies and feeders. I don't remember supplies being much cheaper than you could get elsewhere but they weren't necessarily more expensive either. If you are getting a new baby, it's nice to be able to pick up appropriate sized feeders right...

    Breeders in Georgia?

Hi! I'm not totally sure about breeders located in GA but if you are in Loganville then you are pretty close to the Gwinnett Co. Fairgrounds, where the Atlanta Repticon is held. The next one is actually happening Oct. 13-14. I ended up getting my baby there when we were home visiting this...

    New pictures!!

Oh my gosh, he is so cute!! I feel bad for them when they shed-it looks so uncomfortable! It's always fun to see their new color afterwards, though. I kind of like the name Snuggles-definitely fits! I've got to get some pics of my baby up here soon. They grow so fast, you have to preserve...

    New pictures!!

That's hilarious! I've not tried singing (for everyone's sake!) but I've noticed that both beardies respond to my voice. I always say something to them each time I pass by their vivs or when they're out for a baths or feeding. Okay, yes, buying produce for your baby at Trader Joes does make...

    New pictures!!

I'm glad that the lady took the babies to rescue and that you found the little one! Names are hard because you want to find the perfect one. I think a poster on the other thread suggested Pat, which is hilarious if you're old enough to remember the 90's Saturday Night Live skit! Personally, I...

    New pictures!!

I saw on your other thread that you got the little guy from a rescue. That's great! So, have you picked a name yet? Good luck with the little one!

    Ready for a beardie...I think! :-)

Hi! Congrats on your decision to get a bearded dragon! Like you, I had some other reptiles first and ended up taking in an unwanted beardie adult. Well, at that point I was sold and wondered why I hadn't looked into them before. I think moving from nocturnal to diurnal reptiles can seem more...

    He ran away

After having an escapee corn snake baby (that I did find the next day), I am always checking my vivs to make sure everyone's there! It's a scary feeling when you realize they are gone-glad yours was just hiding! I can see how you can miss them when they are small! :D

    New Beardie! Toothless!

Love the name Toothless (both of them)! How To Train Your Dragon was a great movie. Good luck with your little one-he's adorable!!

    Rango, my new bearded dragon

Welcome! You definitely came to the right place. I have found a ton of great information here and you will too! Can't wait for some pictures of your baby!

    My first bearded dragon!

    Adorable!! Good luck with him!

    Hey y'all.....

Love the vivs! And the dragons, of course! :D Your story sounds kind of familiar...we started getting "exotic" animals as class pets (I'm allergic to rodents, sadly) but then realized we hated leaving them at school all year! That's where the beardies came into play! Oh, and gotta ask...
