    STILL planning new enclosure...

Thanks a lot! Though now I have to convert metric into English lol. My tanks didn't come with top screens, but I'm pretty handy and will be making them to suit. Having the basking light and the UVB on one side actually makes it easier.

    STILL planning new enclosure...

You are just a font of usefulness! I actually copy/pasted your last reply and am going to print it out so I don't forget it. I knew joining this site was a good idea. That is great information, and I will be using every bit of it as I design the lighting setup for mine and my girlfriend's...

    STILL planning new enclosure...

That is really good information. Thank you so much. I was thinking I would use them all the way across, but from what you're saying that isn't necessary? My tank is 48" wide. A 22" light would provide enough UVB for him? Like I said earlier, I want to make the best, healthiest home possible...

    STILL planning new enclosure...

You have that one? Good. I'm going to ask you a couple of questions if that's okay... What is the actual length measurement on the case(the "footprint", if you will)? Does it have a standard 110 plug, or is it Euro? That may sound silly, and it may BE silly, but I know the Arcadia bulbs...

That looks great. My only concern would be the bar that runs across the top of the tank. It is right in the middle, and it runs from front to back. That is why I was thinking of using two separate fixtures, one for each side. To get good coverage without having to worry about the light...

    Planning new enclosure

Shared this in another post where I asked more annoying questions lol. But wanted to put it here as well: I found some nice 6x24 ceramic tile that mimics the look of slate. It is a bit smoother than the actual slate, but I put a couple of pieces in the new tank and put Benny in there while I...

    STILL planning new enclosure...

Hey all. Since my last post I found some wonderful ceramic tile that mimics natural stone in appearance(a little bit smoother, but Benedict doesn't seem to mind) for the floor of Benny's tank and some 2x6 tumbled travertine tiles to build his new cave and other features out of. Now I am...

    Planning new enclosure

Thanks for the info, Tater. I will be looking for a little while yet, weighing my options and choosing the best I can for him.

    Planning new enclosure

Hey everyone. I'm getting ready to move my beardie Benedict from his 30 gallon up to a mansion-like 75 gallon. I am looking into my flooring options, and I have decided to go with tile. The question is: What kind of tile? I could go with slate, of course. But I am considering all my...

I think ours may be defective...

Benedict kept looking at me like: "Hey dad, can I have another one of those?" "But Benny, you already ate 12." "But I'm still hunnnnngrrrrrrryyyyy!!!" Then he fell asleep in his basking spot. I used to think he was a teenager. Now I think he's a toddler.

I think ours may be defective...

The title is a joke, of course. But they do like to sit in some odd places. Here is my beardie, Benedict, and tmrhodes1121's beardie, Nick, sitting in their favorite spots... Anyone else have any good pics of their beardies perching in odd spots?

New dad here. A little nervous about eating and pooping

Small crickets. I looked at the medium, but they seemed too big for now. Maybe in a few months.
