I wouldn't worry about coccidia. I had the same problem with the lights, makes all the difference, and honestly I found that trying to find the perfect uvb and the perfect distance for it is the hardest part of keeping a bearded dragon. Now that they are eating, look for light brown/mooshy...

Well your cage limits you because you can't put the fixture in the cage (unless you custom make something). Set it on top of the cage, and if you are using it in the 40 gallon, take the screen off for better exposure. The screen cuts a lot of it out.
