Beardie never wants to move- when is he actually brumating?

He ate a little bit two days ago. I was about to feed him when I discovered he'd gone in his hide so now it's too late. He hasn't pooped in at least two weeks. But he doesn't poop very often because he doesn't eat or move around very much. (Baths have never helped and he won't eat pumpkin.)

Beardie never wants to move- when is he actually brumating?

Checking back in again--the vet I found is completely booked for the next few weeks. Will keep trying to find someone. In the meantime, he is still refusing to bask. I moved him the basking area this morning and he actually stayed there for about three hours- I was getting hopeful until he moved...

Beardie never wants to move- when is he actually brumating?

I doubt it's the windows- he's been there for about a year and half and seemed much happier when we moved him there which is why we did it- he was glass surfing more before. (When he was basking he'd just sit and stare out the window all day- seemingly contentedly). When I cover the windows he...

Sadly no, sorry. All he has done today is lift his head. This seems to be his existence and I really don't know how to take care of him! If I just ignore him, how do I keep him alive?? Has he lost the will to live?? I know Beardies can get depressed.

Beardie never wants to move- when is he actually brumating?

Update: I switched the decor and he immediately climbed off the log and went back to the cool side. I've put him back there twice now and each time he goes right back to his cool corner after about 15-20 minutes. He did eat a few worms but refuses to eat his veggies. And he simply refuses to bask!

Got it. I'll switch that and the log. I put him up there an hour ago, and sure enough, he just climbed down and walked over to his cool corner. I'll switch them now and put him back up on the log. Will also try feeding him today. I'll report back!

You mean the rock? What's wrong with that? Do you think it gets too hot?

Beardie never wants to move- when is he actually brumating?

Here he is this morning. This is what he does all day every day, for about a year now, unless I move him. At the time this was taken the cool side was 75 and the basking spot was 91. (It's usually around 95 most of the day.)

Hi, so I know there is a lot of info about brumation but I don't know what this is. Tofi is probably close to 2 years old and I've never been able to find an explanation for his behavior. Let me just say that I've gone over his husbandry many times on here and everything is normal in terms of...

    Moderate case of pinworms

Okay, thanks that's really good to know. I had no idea it could last for that long or that on/off was a pretty typical pattern. At least I know now what's happening in his gut and I've gotten him some meds and did a thorough cleaning of everything. He just looks sleepy so not too worrisome in...

    Moderate case of pinworms

Thanks for your reply. He has been in this off/on semi-brumating pattern for nearly three months so I was beginning to worry. His weight has been stable but his behavior concerns me. I did pick up the Panacur medication and gave him his first dose yesterday. Last week he started to wake up (or...

    Moderate case of pinworms

Hi, I've posted a bit recently about my dragon brumating. Tofi has been semi-brumating off and on for about two months now- not wanting to wake up, barely eating and barely pooping. I took him to the vet a couple of weeks ago and she said that he looked really healthy, weight was healthy, etc...
