40gal Viv setup.. wanna double check a few things

I'm not an expert, but the only thing I would suggest (if your beardie will be in the tank before you put the tile in) would be to put some paper towels down instead of just the glass. I think it helps with traction and I *know* it helps with clean up. :) Ooh, also, you may want to add a light...

    Need non-toxic cleaner

Well I think so, but don't quote me. I spray it on liberally and let it sit for a good 10 minutes or so before I wipe it down. This is after I've already cleaned the viv, getting off all debris and whatnot. Once it's clean, then I do the vinegar thing to sanitize.

    Need non-toxic cleaner

I'm curious as to why you don't want to use straight vinegar? That's what I use to disinfect everything from my beardie's viv to the toilet. If I'm feeling it, sometimes I'll mix it with lemon juice or oil (any citrus oil, lavender, or tea tree) for extra sanitizing properties. :)

Good places to get crickets online?

If you live in the East half of the US, I recommend premiumcrickets.com :) I use two cheap totes from walmart to keep them in. For one, I cut a large hole out of the lide and duct-taped screen over it. That's where I keep the crickets - with cricket water, cricket food or greens/veggies, and...

    50 CRICKETS A DAY???

Maybe he's buying crickets at Petco or something. In that case, I'd recommend buying bulk online. I order from premiumcrickets.com - Not only a lot cheaper, but also free from parasites that Petco/Petsmart crickets often carry. Please don't starve your poor baby. If you can't afford it, just...

    Slate tile how to?

Thanks for all the great answers :D So another question - if I do decide to just put them in permanently, how is that done? Just grout? (Any non-toxic one recommended or anything?) Or do I have to use grout and sealant or something...

    Slate tile how to?

So even the ones on top don't get moved around? Like your beardie doesn't move them out of place?

    Slate tile how to?

Oh yeah, I'm definitely going to cover the whole bottom with tile, just not sure how tightly they should fit together. I don't want little toes to get hurt.

    Slate tile how to?

I'm looking into using slate tile in my beardie's viv, and I think I'm going to go with the un-grouted method so I can pull them out for easier cleaning. But I have lots of questions... How tight of a fit do I need so there's not a chance of his toes getting caught? I mean it can't be too...

Doe, do you have any suggestions? Links are nice. Lindz thanks. If I get one of those I probably won't worry about the extra height.

Which one of these is best for an adult dragon?

So I'm looking to get my dragon a bigger, better enclosure, but I'm not sure if I should go for tall or wide. There are lots of different options here: http://www.petco.com/product/115538/Exo-Terra-Glass-Terrarium.aspx?CoreCat=firstinresult_ReptileHabitatsdecpost Which would be best? Price...

Everything always breaks at the same time =\

Okay, quick question... do you think I will need a 160 watt? I only need a 100 watt household bulb to get the proper temp on his basking spots, they're about 6-8 inches away. ???
