To be honest, they're about the same value. By possible het silver, do you mean possible het silverback? That'd be worth something if you found the breeder trustable. I personally don't like dealing with possible hets. Have you seen the beardies in question? The parents? It's kind of shrug.

Inbreeding doesn't naturally "weaken" the young. If you have a pair of strong, healthy parents with good genetics they'll continue having the same good genetics. The problem is that there's no new blood, so if there's any issues or otherwise unnoticeable recessive traits, they'll begin to crop...

Yeah, Petsmart/Petco usually takes horrid care of their babies. You did nothing wrong, and I'm sorry you tried so hard all in vain. If you ever do feel like getting another one, I suggest finding a breeder (and doing plenty of research on them first).

I don't think water could bypass their ear membrane, unless it was punctured or something. And if it was, sticking your head underwater doesn't seem like that smart thing to do... I think he just swims like that because it's a more streamlined shape and faster. My guy does that sometimes, too.

It's totally okay to change a beardie's sleeping schedule, though you probably shouldn't do it too often (would you enjoy changing your sleeping schedule around all the time?). If you want him to sleep during the day you should cover his tank or move him somewhere dark, though. I don't think...

Do you have proof on this? Not trying to jump on you or anything, just wanting more info. Or is it kind of like you're saying, there were already yellow dragons, but Terri suddenly decided "yeah I'm gonna call this citrus" and therefore she's the creator of the "morph"? What would you say...

I don't really recommend buying from pet stores. Even the specialist kinds generally don't have the cash/effort/care to provide the best care for all their reptiles. And if you're buying beardies, they're usually stressed out so you can't even really tell what color they are. I don't think that...
