i thought the dubideli starter colonies were absurd for having a 1:1 M:F ratio. I bought my colony from westcoastroaches and i'm very happy with what came with it! I recommend WCR to everyone that asks about where to buy a starter colony.

judging by the choices you said i think your ordering from dubideli. I'd really advise ordering from westcoastroaches. their starter colonys come with allot of great stuff, and the M:F ratio isn't 1:1.

Im not sure how many adults come with this kit, but i would get a couple extra females and a batch of mixed nymphs with it. put them all into the breeding bin and once you have a BD sort out the nymphs of whatever size you want to feed.

Maybe im just over protective with chemicals. But i always rinse anything i clean with chemicals twice with just water.

I read your post. everything you said you wanted is there. there is allot of ventilation, and it has sliding doors. i dont understand what your looking for.

Did you even look at it? Theres tons of ventilation. I see 6 small vents and 2 large on each side. Not sure what you mean by embedding wire mesh. This has sliding doors.

I'm going to use sand to fill in the gaps. I'm not sure if thats recommended though. it will soak up the urine, but as long as you clean it regularly its all good.
