I've noticed that when i take Appa outside, the bottom of his beard and his back turns really black. Is this him being stressed out or is it just the reaction of him absorbing UV? I put him in the shade for a while too and he still stayed pretty dark.

i feel as if you people think im using only superworms he gets his fair share of crickets everyday including his greens in the morning. small supers are only used for when im at work for 10 hours. thank you for the info i will be feeding less supers now

I've read a couple times that screen filters out UVB, i was wondering if this was true? my light just sits on top of a metal cover that you can buy at any petco/petsmart as it was the only place i could find one for a 40 breeder. should i mount a light in the tank or is it fine the way i have it?

101 basking temp using just a regular thermometer hes around 3 months and probably around 10-11 inches including a very nice long tail this is the first time this is happened and he seemed perfectly fine all day and actually just ate some crickets
