    baby beardie sick, with pics

we have always used a calcium supplement, dusted on greens and when he used to accept crickets. i think he didnt like when i dusted the crickets and eventually stopped eating crickets... we used to feed mealworms, last time he had any has been a month or at least two or three weeks. it was the...

Our littlest dragon, cosmos, is sick.. He doesnt eat much but his belly is huge. I am very worried. We do not have money for a vet, but i may ask my mom for help, she is really broke though, so it is an absolute last resort. it will be a week or so before we might have enough money to take...

*not* possible MBD; prob just a shed issue

He finally ate one waxworm, but we rarely buy those. Crickets and Dubias are our usual feeders. his whole tail has shed and it looks like he will shed his body soon. Will continue with regular baths.

    Dragon needs fattening up...

If you have been keeping your dragon hydrated and still looks skinny try giving a TREAT of waxworms! While not a staple, these fat little worms will help fatten up your babe, just DO NOT FEED ALL THE TIME because they do not have a lot of nutrients, just helps keep their bones from poking...

    question about parasites

With the red rover grant you have to have a specific diagnosis from a vet that says that without care your pet will be terminal. It also says if you have financial hardship that is a plus to getting the grant. they do it on a case by case basis and can give grants from $100-300. If I were...

    question about parasites

I don't know where you are located, but it's very possible you may be able to get a grant to take care of the issue. Can you afford the first vet visit? Because Red Rover Relief Grants can spot you b/t $100-300 if you qualify for the grant. there are also fundraising tips on the website in case...

*not* possible MBD; prob just a shed issue

I mean I would consider that (food-competition) as a possibility, but this little guy is normally the shark of the tank and he chases and chomps whatever he wants usually. So it makes sense to me that this might be a shedding thing. We will be sure to get right on the hip bones and make sure he...

*not* possible MBD; prob just a shed issue

We give them time apart and often will feed them separately or take the other out of the tank. There is very little territorial-ness going on in the tank. It makes a lot of sense that a little dragon growing 1/2 inch a week would need some extra fats on him. We don't just throw the...

*not* possible MBD; prob just a shed issue

as i said in my first post, our staple feeders are gutloaded crickets and gutloaded dubia roaches. recently shed (white) mealworms are a treat, or dinner spoiler so we dont feed those very often. We are only thinking about getting a small batch of wax worms to fatten up the kid so we cant...

*not* possible MBD; prob just a shed issue

Should we go get some wax worms to fatten them up a little bit? are they safe for baby dragons?

*not* possible MBD; prob just a shed issue

i guess my boyfriend is really worried because he feels like he hasnt been eating too much in the last two days. Is this normal right before a shed? He wouldnt even accept a mealworm, which is like his fave. (we only give him white mealworms that have just shed and have a soft exoskeleton)...
