Do beardies slow down as they get bigger? Mine's at around 7-8 months and is still REALLY fast, to the point that im not comfortable letting him out for fear he will get somewhere I can't retrieve him.

Upgraded! Not sure he likes the new basking setup, the mesh is A LOT denser in this one, I have a tube and a MVB for basking, but he seems to be trying to get closer all the time, spends a lot of time like this: Is he just adjusting to the new viv? I figure it'll take him around 2 weeks, like...

is 36” x 18” x 24” enough? Having problems finding something larger locally... OR 36x18x18?

My baby is not much of a baby anymore, just over 12 inches now, in a 20 gallon aquarium-style viv. When is it time to upgrade? Really want front-opening doors :P

I thought it was pretty funny when basking... hasn't done it before tho.

He seems a LOT more active with less in there, and is eating more. When I took out the wood branch thing, like, 15 crickets dropped out of the knots. It's sparse now, but he seems to like it.

Well, he started shedding all over there this morning... So perhaps it was just pre-shedding irritation.

Tube, basking light was an MVB, changed it to a 100 watt light bulb yesterday to see if that helps. Reptile carpet substrate.

Appetite seems to be a little lacking too...

Nucky seems to be having some eye irritation that is keeping it closed most of the time... I swapped his basking MVB with a normal bulb (the Reptisun 10.0 should be enough UVB). I think he was a little too close to the MVB in this Viv. Here are some pics: Any advice? I bathe him daily, and...

What is the temperature in his basking spot? I believe it should be between 90-100 for an Adult. Make sure he can bask AND get UVB in the same spot. That said, I'm finding Beardies are pretty chilled out dudes. They do tend to spend a lot of time basking. Take him out and hang out, they often...
