    Beardie has a swollen neck?!

3 days ago on Friday night my beardie Moe randomly vomited a few pieces of butternut squash, a bit of green, and what looked like pieces of dubia. Ever since then he hasn't eaten except 2 small dubia yesterday, he's rather lethargic although he's never been very active, swollen neck, and he...

    How to keep feeder dubias?

Oh great idea!!!! I have tons of tp rolls because I breed rabbits (they make great toys stuffed with hay), and goodness knows we go through a ton of paper towels because I have 5 kids and the beardie goes through paper towels also! Great idea! Thanks for that idea!

    How to keep feeder dubias?

Yeah I think I'll just go get a 20 gallon in a bit. I wasn't sure if I wanted to put some egg crates in there since I don't have many left. I was thinking putting just greens in there for them would probably be a bad idea since that would get expensive since I'd have to change it every days to...

    How to keep feeder dubias?

I have a question about keeping just the feeder dubias. I just recently started breeding dubias a few months ago, and I'm finding it's time to sort. Do I need another 40 gallon tote to sort, or can I keep the feeders in like a shoebox sized container with greens and of course their chow and...

    Breeding Dubias

I see a lot of people here breed their own dubias, and I am considering this as well. My question is where do you get the cardboard egg flats, and do you all use heating pads? My house gets to be about 69 at night or 65 in winter, and in the daytime it's about 73 to 75. Do I need a heating pad...

    Hi from Louisiana

Thank you! It does help! I'm about to make my first order from mulberry farms. I did find out he's a little over a year old so I don't think he's going to grow much more. I have some Superworms right now,and that's all I have until I get an order in so I'll feed them sparingly. I measured him...

    Clueless on feeding... kinda

Oops... I just remeasured him. He's 15" not 16". I thought I saw on the website that it was ok to feed as long as over 14". Crud... Ok. I also fed him about 15 to 20 last night. I just fed him until he stopped eating. Crickets smell so bad, and he just wasn't into them at all. I am considering...

    Clueless on feeding... kinda

Ok maybe not exactly clueless, but I want to learn. I bought a beardie a little over 2 weeks ago. Poor little thing has never been fed properly. He did take to live feeders very well, and then one day he stopped eating crickets. After reading around on here I thought perhaps he was tired of them...

    Hi from Louisiana

Thank you very much. I do have some questions because I am even unsure exactly how old he is. He's 14" long, and he has never been fed properly. We had a bit of an issue with him making coughing noises this weekend, but thanks to searches through here we cleared it right up. Sorry I haven't...
