9 month female - is this laying behavior

Hi all UV and temps closely monitored and perfect. Diet is Phoenix worms, crickets, assorted Beardie greens and squashes. She has been in her cave with eyes closed much of the day for the last week. Head is up, scratches sub a good bit in there, but I can't see too much. Comes out to eat...

Can a baby beardie brumate or is he sick?

I'm very sorry to hear about your dragon. It's heartbreaking to lose these little guys.

    Isospora present, no symptoms

Labs came back with isospera 3-10 (few) per high power field. They were at >30 (many) before treatment. The vet who called said not to do anything more since the animal is doing fine, and that this is a somewhat normal occurrence. I would have liked to eradicate the bugs, but I guess we will...

    Isospora present, no symptoms

Good to know. I hope so. Maybe the probiotic? Anyway, I took the sample in yesterday, but have not heard back yet.

    Isospora present, no symptoms

LJ having mustard, dandelion, phoenix worms, and benebac salad. I'm a little worried that the ponazuril didn't work because his poop smells pretty bad. Taking a fecal in today if lab is open.

    Isospora present, no symptoms

Hi again. LJ is a SandFire bred lizard that we bought locally. Today was a good day for him. He ate three small rounds of Phoenix worms, and even had some salad sauced with benebac. He seems to like the benebac gel. Maybe it's like putting sugar on cereal. He was alert and enjoyed several...

    Diluting Ponazuril Paste

Thank you. I did treat, but hope we can get this information posted for others. If in fact those numbers are within a tolerable range, it would have been good to know. I will get a fresh weight amd post it to make sure we dosed correctly. He is getting .01 ml undiluted and is six months old.

Anyone know isospora range for Idexx centrifuge Float test?

No, I treated twice with a one day break as prescribed. Appetite seems somewhat reduced, but still eating Phoenix worms. I will bathe and resanitize enclosure today. I'll take in a fecal to see if it worked. I have benebac and have ordered acidophiliz+. I'm hoping we can get through this okay.

    Isospora present, no symptoms

Third day, LJ is laying low on belly but seems okay moving when he needs to. He will not jump across the tank to a dish of phoenix worms like he normally does, but will eat some of them when the dish is placed directly under his chin. Would love to hear any thoughts on this. We have been...

    Diluting Ponazuril Paste

Vet gave me 150mg/ml paste; I assume this is Marquis horse paste. Anyway, dose is .01 cc which is difficult to measure, so was wondering if anyone has diluted the paste for dosing purposes. Would water be okay, or simple syrup?

    Isospora present, no symptoms

Administered first dose of Ponazuril yesterday. Tomorrow second and last dose. Ate about 20 Phoenix worms this morning. Seems a little slow on feet, but not too bad.

    Isospora present, no symptoms

Sorry for the confusion. The vet prescribed .01 ml in two doses, 48 hours apart. Frankly, I don't do anything the vet Says without doing my own research so I sat on the meds for a few days. But this time I couldn't find what I was looking for, so I am medicating. The Quat disinfectant is the...

    Isospora present, no symptoms

Since I cannot find any information on the meaning of the fecal exam, I will begin Ponazuril today. I am using a Quat disinfectant that is supposed to kill Coccidia for all surfaces. I will also steam for extra care. One question is how do you clean the dragon itself during treatment...

Anyone know isospora range for Idexx centrifuge Float test?

I need to know how the range of their test correlates to the 1-4 scale that is more commonly used. You would think it would be available somewhere, but I cannot get the information anywhere. Can someone please help me? The test says >30, and I have pinozuril to administer. But, if the levels...

    Isospora present, no symptoms

I did but my main vet is out. I have spent a lot of time on the web trying to figure it out. I assume it's the number of ocysts present in a given area on a slide. They used a centrifuge float test. But I can't find any cross reference anywhere. So I don't know if >30 is 1 or 4+.
