So Groot is healing fine but now he is refusing to eat, I have ordered some electrolyte solution to see if that will help. Not sure what else to do, the vet said to call if he hasn't eaten three weeks after which will be next week.

So Groot went to the Vets yesterday, they have cleaned the wound and removed the black skin. His nose is now flat again. He has some cream to put on while it heals. he also has a couple of antibiotic injections over the next week.

It is still black and he did shed the scales last week as he had a full body shed. it is about the same size.

Hi All, Update on Groot, he had a consultation with the Vet today and they believe he has dried pus under the wound which becomes solid over time. He will be going to have it removed next week. He is still his normal self which is great but the area is sore so I am hoping this will help.

He hasn't rubbed it, we haven't bought any honey yet we will get some at the weekend.

It went a little brown but now its black. It has shed and looked better but now its black again.

Hi, My beardie Groot is nearly 6 months. About a month ago he rubbed his head when shedding and had a wound. We treated with Iodine and it was healing, now it looks like he is shedding this area again but the scales are black underneath. Is this normal? He is acting normal and eating fine.
