I bought adhesive shelf liner by accident

I’m re-doing my beardie’s cage and I ordered some shelf liner off of amazon. It arrived last night and I unboxed it and of course I ordered adhesive instead of non adhesive. Can I still use it if I don’t peel the paper off the back of it and attach it to the floor some other way? I also won’t...

    Relocation stress or brumation?

Thank you! I'll keep that recipe in mind! That's a relief to hear. A few minutes after my last post he kinda sorta pooped. It was once again just a bunch of urates mixed with a clear liquid. At least I know he's hydrated? There were no crickets or veggies mixed in there though. He has gone back...

    Relocation stress or brumation?

Hi everyone, I thought I would update this as I'm still a little bit worried about him. I am now convinced that he is in a partial state of brumation. He alternates between hiding in one of his caves (I have another one near his basking spot) and basking. When he is hiding, he alternates...

    Relocation stress or brumation?

He spent the afternoon basking and taking walks around his tank. He nibbled on his salad a bit more. I gave him a second cricket meal and he ate 12, so a total of 22 for today. Directly after his second cricket meal, he went back into his cave. Should I be leaving him in there till he wants to...

    Relocation stress or brumation?

So he acted normal for a few days and then returned to his cave. Sometimes he was sleeping and sometimes he was awake in there. He did not get out. He was in there for 3 days until I took the cave off of him. No stress marks, no black bearding, his color looked good. I put a salad in there and I...

    Relocation stress or brumation?

When he was a baby and he would get freaked out about his weekly baths, he would climb onto the cactus and cling to it for the rest of the night (i always gave him baths in the evening). I’m not sure what it is about it, maybe it’s the highest location in the tank? He is acting kind of freaked...

    Relocation stress or brumation?

So he’s been clinging to his cactus for almost 3 days now. He has not moved. I did manage to get him to eat 3 crickets but at this point he hasn’t eaten crickets in almost a week. How long should this be lasting and when should I start worrying?

    New enclosure temp question

My original plan was to use some extra plywood left over from building the cage to build a platform the same shape and size as the hammock, and cover it with felt so he would have something softer to lay on and so that i wouldn’t have to worry about treating and painting it. Is that good enough...

    Relocation stress or brumation?

Thank you for the replies. I was confused because for the first 2 days he acted weird but still relatively normal (basking, picking at veggies) and suddenly after 2 days he is not eating at all and refuses to move from certain spots. It’s just the delayed response. Since 3 pm yesterday he has...
