Ozzy is 18 months. I cannot get the temp to go up any in the tank except for 85. That is where it stays. As for measuring, I use the kind that stick to the side of the tank. The bulb I am using for UVB is Exo terra repti glo 10.0.

I have a 40 gallon tank set up for Ozzy my beardie. They tank has a red bulb on one side that I leave on all the time and then the other side has his UVB/UVA bulb which I leave on 12 hrs a day. The whole tank stays at 85 degrees. The pet store clerk told me that that was how her tank was set...

You are very right about that. Ozzy is our little celebrity around town. He goes to my sons chool and to all the baseball games when it is warm enough to go. He is great!
